Which Inferno file do i need? Mine differs from the servers.

i had same prob, i just downloaded from a m8 and over wrote the file, only about 1.8 Mb download i think, if u cant find anywhere pop into #fire.cs on irc.barrysworld.com some time and i should b able to sort you

Thank you Lazurus i know that. Which version do i need to download? There are a few versions of the inferno map to download. I have already tried a differnet one but that didn't work

NOpe I said there were missing sprites in cs1002-1003 upgrade.

THey are sprites for de_survivor.

Sould has a post about it where there is a link to get thoose sprites.

Yes from teh bw ftp, my conn to the ftp is buggered so youll have to find it yourself.

aha fixed at last

i couldnt get on the ftp either.however i got a m8 with mod version to e-mail his copy of inferno.i removed the old copy and dragged the new one into it's place.
da-da! fixed.i am a happy throdgrain!
if anyone else is struggling with this i'd be happy to send you a copy.just gimme a shout

Anyone more retail ppl having problems with inferno here is a link from where you can download the map

Inferno

You need to download de_inferno_build22.zip

Unzip it in the maps folder, delete the non-working inferno - rename the new one - and bob's your uncle.

i have retail version of cs, i uninstalled it and went and got the mod version, much easier and less problems

i musta tried that 6 or 7 times brfore giving up and going to buy the retail version.every time i got to 50 or 60 mb downloaded the bloody thing would slow down to like 1.5kps then stop.i've now got 2 half-life cd's 2 opposing force cd's and 1 c.s. cd ffs.
yesterday before fixing the map problem i thought i'd have another go at d/ling the mod,got to 95 mb then said "too many errors" and stopped!god help me...

I downloaded the new 17mb mappack (from fileplanet I think) at a whopping 1.7 kbs.

When I unzipped / installed it I gfound it that it was STILL the wrong firking map for inferno.

What did I do - renamed the existing inferno.bsp on my pc to inferno.old and located a server with inferno running on it.

Connected and downloaded direct from the server.

P.S. MR POWERS - do you know a Biggus Dickus - he was talking about you last night.

Me thinks I was misdirected to an old mappack by mistake

inferno and vegas were 2 of the maps in it.

I only found this out AFTER I downloaded tho.

I got the inferno by connecting to a server running that map (after deleting the one on my disk)
