just had a quick browse on Amazon and they only have videos

Not correct Lead.

Spielberg has never released the Indie Trilogy on DVD.

There are rumours of a release soon, but rather like the Star Wars Trilogy and the Back to the Future Trilogy, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I mentioned this in a thread the other day.
"Educated" guesses are that the indy trilogy won't be around until around 2004 or 2005 at least.
Georgey boy likes to do things one at a time. He's gonna finish the Star Wars films first. Then do all the marketing for that.
He'll release the DVD's individually for Star Wars. Then once they're all out he's likely to do some super-duper DVD set. And only then is he likely to launch an Indy trilogy DVD set.

It's a real shit but if you think about it logically in marketing terms it would seem dumb to put two hugely popular films / series against each other. Best to just wait and release them at the "right" time.

Indy has remained popular for years and I think it's pretty obvious it's still well popular judging by the amount of excitement the TV showings have generated just on this forum alone. I think George can afford to wiat a few years, cos people are still getting their "Lucas" fix from Star Wars for now.

There's talk of starting Indy IV in 2005. Ford, Spielberg and Lucas are up for it, but Georgie boy (as Kenny said) wants to finish Star Wars first.

i second that! except i have a dvd player so um i'll sell mine and buy a new one just for the triology! :D

can't even find anywhere to buy them on VHS at the mo, out of circulation i guess.

From what I've read Harrison Ford is most keen to do another one. If he's on board Spielberg will Direct and Lucas will Produce. The studio isn't too keen.

If there's no Ford, there's no Indy IV. He is getting a little old, mind.

They could make good comedy out of his age. The big bloke in the turban could come waving his sword at indy and instead of reaching for is pistol he could twirl his zimmer-frame back at him :)
