I know the car parking facilities are bad at Glasgow Airport but there are better ways to protest!

I have to say, all of the stuff going on seems to be so badly planned and messy, thank goodness for us. But really what is going on? Why would anyone want to attack Scotland, or London which is such a multi-national centre of culture you are lucky to find an Englishman.

I think the anti-terrorism work by the police etc has been spot on. Seems a few tragedys have been averted this week.

I was thinking the same, as much stick as the police take they do a good job.

Tell you one thing, this is the first incident in Scotland and by starting up here they have made a mistake. The English are more willing to sit back, attack the Scottish and you have got some majorily pissed of people that you dont want breathing down your back. If any of the Scottish public find out any links these people have there will most likely be retribution and there be nothing the police can do about it. So the police really need to be on their toes.

Problem is, this incident has me a little worried, though I doubt there be anything more happening at the airport in the next few days I have a flight to take from Glasgow next friday. Just brings to light how lucky I am. More to the point, less then 24hrs before this attack my work collegue and his family were at the airport.

Just glad that no one really hurt, and at this point I would say fuck civil rights. Want some answers for what is happening, especially if links to the london attacks, and if it takes torturing these wankers then tough thats what should be done. Screw the human rights act, these people dont care about other peoples civil liberties so why should we care about theirs. The gloves are off!

Another worry thing about this is the Asian population of Glasgow will now expect to be attacked, abused and crucified, which is one of the worst side effects of this situation. Especially since Glasgow has a large Asian community full of people who are sound :(

LONDON BOMB 'NOT SCARY ENOUGH', BROWN TELLS MI5

>>>PRIME Minister Gordon Brown has dismissed the latest London bomb scare as "feeble" and "unlikely to frighten the public".

Brown compared MI5 to the cast of 'Police Academy.' Mr Brown is understood to be disappointed with MI5's effort, describing it as "half-arsed and transparent". A source close to Brown said: "The PM wanted to start things off by scaring the absolute, holy shit out of people. "A badly driven Merc with a couple of gas bottles in the back does not cut the mustard. "We asked for Arabic literature on the passenger seat, a map of Whitehall with big red crosses on it and a huge controlled explosion on live television. Someone will be getting their backside felt for this." The source added: "We're trying to introduce ID cards, imprisonment without trial and swingeing restrictions on freedom of speech. "We wouldn't be able to force through new parking regulations on the back of this pile of arse." Police say they are looking for "a man" in connection with the incident in London's Haymarket. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Our investigations are currently centred on a man. If you see a man you should react with complete terror and run screaming into the nearest busy shop or pub."

Yes it is. Its a hysteria that is being whipped up by a fervent media in response to three failed car bombs and a government using terrorist tactics by hyping fear to morph society..its nothing more.

Watch this video YouTube - Keith Olbermann & Larry Johnson - 6/29/07
[youtubevid]QK5-jIfOBjQ[/youtubevid]
"Agent Larry Johnson joined Keith Olbermann to underscore the truth behind the madness - that the so-called bombs were primitive at best and would not have killed anybody."
"This is not one of the truck bombs or car bombs we see going off in Iraq - what's really striking about this today is that you had two non-bombs in London when we had at least five bombs in Baghdad.."

So you think someone driving a car into an airport terminal with hand held petrol bombs and molotiv cocktails, with gas canisters in the boot is just a publicity stunt? Baghdad has had at least 4 years to practice their own terrorism, once we've had 4 years in this country perfecting the art, then you can "theorise" that since these were so amateurish, they werent genuine.

A woman was filling up her car at a petrol station. She was smoking a cigarette at the same time, Her arm then caught on fire

When the police arrived they shot at her because she had a firearm

i'm not totally convinced it was the anti-terrorism that had its glory or just pure fucking luck. aparently both the cell phone car bombs malfunctioned.

and the jeep thing, those ppl were better at setting themself on fire then burning whatever it was they had in mind.

but then again, quick actions from the police anyway. and thats always a good thing.

I think it was due to the fact both bomb threats were so poorly exectued that a major catastophe was averted.

Seriously, where are these terrorists being trained? A 6th form chemical student could probably do better

wtf? What happens when they think you had something to do with a terrorist attack and then torcher a confession out of you? It's this kind of knee-jerk reaction to terrorism that is the worst part of it, as it allows governments to get away with stuff like Guantanamo Bay, which leads to potential terrorists thinking "these people dont care about other peoples civil liberties so why should we care about theirs." Like Benjamin Franklin said: “They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

we should get some of those mad christian bastards to suicide bomb the middle east tbh.. oh wait.. nothing worth blowing up.. and they wouldnt do it coz they know its fucking pointless in the grand scheme of things.

seriously.. if thats the best they can do these days.. i aint scared. and with each incident more and more of the bastards are identified along with their cells.

the bombbers in london ran away.. HA!! thats bravery for you.. and as for the guy in the car in glasgow.. is he gonna get a shock when he wakes up not in heaven with a load of virgins.. but with scottish police around him.

GJ police imo. we quick to criticise them when summit goes bad.. but when it goes right.. it goes right :)
