What gets me is the implications of having kids. Its a plain and simple scientific fact that every disability, defect and ailment they will have to spend a LIFETIME living with is down to you. You are the one who caused them all that pain and suffering they WILL receive in their life.

My parents still worry that my Crohns disease may have been due to them, something they did or didn't do that caused this illness to hit me but no-one else in the family. It kills them when I'm ill, and I feel guilty for having the problem. Now think how shit they would feel if they KNEW 100% that it was their fault.

Same applies to siblings who practice Incest, they KNOW 100% that its their fault. If they have kids, then every ounce of suffering the kids go through is their fault, they should damn well feel guilty as hell. Thing is, despite knowing all this, they still go ahead and have children because they 'love each other'. And a deformed and mutated kid is what, in that equation?

From a scientific point, its just unhealthy. And from a moral view, its just creepy. And considering how the kids can and wi end up (Not to mention their kids, grandchidren etc) its just fucking cruel.

Incest is only forbidden due to moral, i.e. religious, valors. Gene pool question came only recently, and is a good and rational decision to forbid (sp?) it. But like a vast majority of people belonging to the occidental civilization, i fell that incest is WRONG only due to my morals views.
Keep it forbidden, it's not cause it does not affect you directly that it's shouldn't be everyone's problem.

actully, i think unconciently (sp?) its because of genes. they saw the kids became more freaky than usual when sisters and brothers humped (which i assume they did alot, or raping or what they could figure out) and decided it was gods way of punishing them... my theory and probably alot others

years ago i read about a brother and sister who had both been adopted at birth and taken to oposite ends of the country, they had never been interested in searching out there real familys and were content with the ones who had addopted them. years later the met in a bar and were together for 6 years, it was not untill there second child together and they were planning there wedding that they found out they were brother and sister.

now thats got to be a shock.

i dont know what happend to them after that. wonder if they could arrest him for incest as he didnt know?
