All we know what passes with Fins list. In rare occasions are complied with because they are called the friends to put them, and we all are tired to see that it passes.

Yesterday without going but far away after expecting 17 continued hours maintaining the same position in the list when had changed many persons in the group so much tanks as ns/ranger. Today I have been 12 hours sit down next to the group of Fins expecting patiently my turn
Is certain that Eriu stay longer but your Novo did not you enter to substitute it, you was tanking with Eriu, thing that I see well if there is 3 tanks and a warden.... in total 4 tanks.

Later Eriu leave and was substituted for another tank, then Sebula that is the one that carried the list, said myself in front of all you in Chat Main that when Culanan did miniding I would enter to replace him.

Culanan leaves and not me was invited. Another tank was, and Sebula says me that feels bad, that he is not agree, that is my turn but he cannot do anything because now there is another Group Leader (because Sebula relog) and Group Leader have invited guild friend out of list.

A Ns 48 is able tank Fins same as a Bm 45 or other tanks of that level. I was with Novo two days ago tanking Fins at the same time and I was the puller certain?

Then that problem is that I cannot catch my turn after 12 hours? It is not frustranting is indignating. I always stay against the discrimination of the ns/ranger including before I have a Ns, you can ask to Ivinoxia or Censimilia for example if I say the truth. I have arrived at the conclusion after receiving various sends and to read some comments that there were said that part of the problem is that I am Spanish and I am in a Server that is spoken Englishs and I do not speak English well but never I speak Spanish in publish and respect all the persons be of the nationality that be.

I will ask if I can put some photos of comments and sends You have I throw, that curiously they have none I throw allusion in your post.

It want ask excuse to several persons that have suffered the consequences of my indignation without deserving it since did not be when step this and if when arrive with my I wound. Sebula besides said me that as he did not be in agreement with what you had done he leave the group in solidarity with me.

Sincerely I do not understand the concept of justice, honor and uprightness that some people have.

I can understand how difficult it must be for you not speaking very good english, and also being a stealther, it is very hard for you to get groups. Although I dont agree with what you did, I understand how you feel and hope you get things sorted out.

You are a nice enough guy, I have grouped with you twice, and you have always been very police and friendly.

I just wish there was more places to xp in hib so that people wouldnt have to rely on Fins lists, or find alternative spots cos the good ones are camped

Garcall, you have my respect for the effort you took to write such a long post, expecially as you have not used any offensive language in it.

Personally, I hate the very idea of "fins lists", and would never put my name on one ... for exactly the reasons given in your post. I feel that lists only result in bad feelings, because either someone who has been on the list a long time never seems to get into the group, or friendships suffer because friends can't get into the group because of "the list".

Now I see there is going to be a permanent 48+ group at the Glimmer Knights. Will this result in more bad feelings between players because no one else will be able to hunt them? It will be interesting to follow developments.

In the meantime, thank heavens for low level alts .. the characters we can just have fun with.

No its wasnt, its downright pathetic.. afaik griefing is a bannable offence (at least on US servers) and this is a serious form of griefing especially because you got 1 person killed through your immature and pathetic actions.

By doing what you did, people will no longer respect your and wont be as willing to include you in fins groups.

Good luck soloing to 50. Your going to need it.

Garcal, even if you think you were treated unfairly by that group, what you did in response was worse. Everyone who plays this game for long enough will sooner or later be in a position when they are angry at another player or group of players and think they have been treated badly. You can choose to hold your tongue and walk away, or you can choose to grief and harass them and ruin their playing. You chose very badly yesterday.

Hmmm,

a few weeks ago i was holding a fins list as group leader, something i am very reluctant to do but it seems to be the rule there.

Garcal asked me to be added to list and was duly added as first person on the list. I had several other requests and added upto a list of 8 people of differing classes.

As people left, i added the new people to the group - All the leavers were either casters or healers of some sort ie bard, ench etc,

Garcal, who had been told we were all gonna be there a long time say and watched us for hours, and i mean hours then flamed me for taking other people b4 him. I explained he wasnt what group needed and he wasnt very understyanding to say the least.

Now, i know its shitty getting groups as a ranger or shade but if this is how you behave it wont get any easier, will it ??

Anbd having been told we were all (tanks) staying for the duration , wasnt it stupid to sit and watch us for hours waiting for a place, surely you could have tried for CF or EZ groups too instead of wasting your Sunday play time.

After reading garcals post i am not going to make harsh judgements because i wasnt there. i cant say anything in garcals favour because what he was accused of was bad. we all know that. However i i have heard of the fins list being changed as such by the holder to fit his friends in b4 others. i cant prove it because i havent seen it first hand but it is believable but unfair .. im not saying garcal was justified but maybe we ought to look further into how strictly the list os done

If you push people aorund especially when they have devoted time and are angry, they will do stupid things to get revenge > its not justified but it happens Lets se if we can end this bickering and get on with killing some albs < nods> yeah!

I have heard and seen many things in my time of MMORPG, over 5 yrs worth.
As holder of the Fins List i had it split into types so a ranger left a ranger replaced, a mage left a mage replaced a tank left a tank replaced.
Its a easy way to do it.
Garcel a lvl 48 NS IS and is very Capable of being a tank, i was upset with the actions of others during the sunday fins grp.
Garcel was told he would be next as he was next on the list before mouse who had also been waiting a while.
Most chars asked to be put on list and gave alts to contact while they waited so they could carry on playing.
Those on the list where contacted in ORDER, if they responded they got a place if no response the next was contacted.. etc etc.
I had two grps over the weekend and everybody enjoyed them, some where there for a long time others had commitments and stayed for a few hours.
The way Garcel was treated was out of order he was sworn at and told to speak englsh properly, hey who does these days i ask myself.
We all use shortcuts to get over our meanings and gestures
I apologise to Garcel once again for the way the group treated him but as i said i was not the group leader at that time due to disbanding, after we died due to a member was aggro to the monkey and we got wiped out after he was healed.
So i say here if Garcel ever whants another grp with me i WILL take him he nas no need to solo, im sure many will accept him in the future as well.
I hope that people will relise that DOAC is a game and treat it as such, we are all adults and from different countrys, but we are united in the world of Camelot.
Garcel i look forward to our next lot of groups.

The how and why's of someone being excluded from a group is hardly relevant. Whomever is in charge of the group can decide to do whatever they want to. You have no "rights" to anything there (apart from them following the CoC).

I got invited to form a Fins group with my champ not so long ago, I logged and didnt come back on (hate fins)

Only time ive done a fin group was because Noche was close to lvl and I wanted to help.

NEVER will I sit on a list just to get an XP grp, just the thought of sitting about for hours wating to get in a grp makes me uke:

O and CJ,, the real worse thing about fins is.. you make a grp and get all the way into EZ when ur <insert healer class here> turns and says "sry guys gonna suicide got in fins grp"

fins arn't good but they are reliable and easy to get into grps as u can play an alt or rvr while waiting.

It would be best for every1 to keep the lists straght and if they do know some1 is jumping the que then protest, leave the grp even as it could be u the 1 who is jumped over next time.

Keri, last night 3 full groups of us went out there and had a really great time. Good exp for just about everybody, a few people managed to level, lots for everybody to do, and some good drops which were shared out with no bickering. There was a mix of all classes present and I don't think anyone was turned away. At one point we were pulling knights and gheists in bunches of 8 or so and we managed them quite well. Bedroc was there, it was a shame you weren't - we could have used another bard.

It would be great if that sort of thing could be done regularly. The only real nuisance is that, as people leave, it's hard to get replacements (although we did get some at one point when a group wiped out at the warshades and joined us when we rezzed them).

Leading them 3FG was actually pretty hard work at times, especially when sharing loot..
But TBH no-one complained at how I split the drops (although the drop rate dissapeared after an hour or so) which im glad about

It wasnt a planned thing either, Turned up in innis about 5 in group to see Druid with 6 members. I casually suggested taking 2fg to knights (just happened a guild had a meeting and joined also hehe)

I wasnt doing it for XP it was for fun (even though I gained about 2.5bub anyway), I didnt keep 1 drop for myself either (even Daisy who want there should now have her Stiletto )

If Ppl want me to organise a fun trip to Knights again im more than willing

Fins sucks. A lot.

Been at fins yesterday... wooohooo

Started at 11:00 when a guildmate who was in the group added me on the list. Then Albs started the "we-take-all-your-keeps-so-you-shit-your-pants-because-it-could-be-a-relic-raid" - game and the druid of the group had to leave because his guild wanted him.

Lucky me got the spot and I went for it.

Dumb me took the fins list when my GM left.

Poor me went through tell hell...

At best times we had like 28 people on the list, enought to take a keep, hunt shades, try knights or do whatsoever, and all wanted to be in the same group. Ooo well I thought, I came here to lvl so I would get it.

And it only took me some 9 hours to get it... weeee... dozen people leaving group, waiting for regrouping, then someone pbae'd or even hit the monkey and all died... not only once... oh yeah

And still the tells over and over all the time, people asking me more or less kindly to leave so they could get the spot... and the guy who had the druid spot before me was kinda upset cause he left for nothing... I could understand him and I felt sorry, but I wanted that lvl so I stayed.

At the end I was in some delirious state writing names on the list and waiting for the ding.


When it was there I handed the list, ran into pookas and went for a snack and TV.



Well I got the lvl, the whole step from 44 to 45 - but for what? It wasn't fun, not even nearly, it was hell and hard work. That's not what I play the game for, I want the fun of the game, if I want work I get a job and get money for it.

I have been at Azures few times in the days before, and it was far more fun even tho the xp is not that good. But I enjoyed it still.


So for me that is: no more fins list, no waiting for fins spot, either my guild or some group arranges something and I'm in in first place or I just leave it and do EZ - the country where the flavour is!

I still think there could be a few more xp spots for high lvls, would break down the demand and strain it puts on players, it should be fun not hell!
