Hello.

Got any logs or error messages? U could have a look in event viewer.
(type in Run.. "eventvwr.msc" and look)

Still sounds like a overheat problem. I all fans running? Any overclocking?

I'm getting similar now, but mine is total screen freeze, only started happening last night.
I updated my drivers to no avail it's driving me nuts :(

Getting it too, sometimes.. mostly happends when dual logging. Have no clue of why it happends, but i think it has something to do with either a memory error, or directx thing.

where are you when you crash?

What have you done just prior to crashing? (porting? releasing?)

Re-install DirectX if that fails to fix the problem re-install the game.

usually it has to load something for me,

eg: Ported to beno, all fine, see a mid, run to mezz him, after that freeze & daoc error. Both clients crashed btw..

Your possative you have all the correct/latest chipset drivers?
Latest directx version? (9.0c).
tried removing gfx drivers with driver cleaner pro and installed different ones to see if you get the same problem?
Tried benchmarking with 3d mark to see if you can recreate the crash?
checked the ratings on each of your psu's lines are within acceptable range?
you say its a new computer did you build yourself or someone built it for you/bought from a retail outlet? (if you built it yourself check all cards are seated properly and everything is plugged in to what it should be)

could try torture test on occt whilst running prime 95 for a good amout of time to rule out cpu fault memtest86 to rule out memory faults.

what are you using to monitor your temperatures/voltages? (some programs are wildly innacurate recomend using speedfan or checking in the BIOS)

read this thread follow links contained in it to see if any of them help
https://forums.freddyshouse.com/showthread.php?t=186154

Loads of stuff there to work on could in all honesty be absolutly anything from faulty components to simple software problems since its a new pc.

A google on all of the programs I mentioned will bring up relavent links, good luck.

Well ive been having the same problem since installation of DR.......My other PC works fine with it, when i crash i get an error msg that its a game dll.
Dunno where the fault is weather its the client or my PC. Ive deleted and reinstalled all game clients, checked i have all the latest drivers & im running directx 9c also updated all my network drivers, all to no avail. I ran an eventvwr.msc all the errors point to this whatever it is.

hello, thanks for the help.
ive tried useing the original drivers and new 6.2. even tried the omega drivers which workrd really well till it crashes! useing ati tray tools ive underclocked my card to its lowest settings and it hasnt crashed since?
only been a day but fingers crossed? could just be a faulty card??
even at its lowest core/memory speeds it still running amzingly well! averaging 150-200 fps on games like css and cod2,my old 9600 pro struggled to get 50 lol!

after underclocking it started crashing again. but ive finally figured out what the problem was! i have two sticks of ddr400 pc3200 512mb and one of them has a cooler on it!(alloy caseing?) as soon as i took the cooler off it started working fine!!!! been fine now for a week! really happy!
so the lesson to be learnt is dont buy cheap shit ram coolers from ebay! i wont use ram coolers again unless they come with ram!
thanks 4 all ur help!
