give the ability to search within signatures too, much easier to pm a dude you met ingame who's playing an alt listed in his sig.

There is an "alts" mod for these forums, the same for PHPBB and SMF, simple to install and is searchable using the "username" search.

I agree it would be a nice addition but to be honest, the search function needs some looking at to start with. It continuesly drops words because they are "too common" or "too short".

I often resort to using google with the added searchparameter:
site:freddyshouse.com

will also find alts for you
