I just bought half life 4 pack as a birfdey gift to meself. Gonna load it lata tonight...hope all goes well. Wish me luck...I'm nervous, heh

Lol CS is the ruler in my Eyes, lol, but, i think your gonna be disapointed / or pissed off :D

I mean, your gonna have to download a 70/80mb file to get 1.3 installed, and how big is 1.4 gonna be? thatc omin out in April :D

CS Is wank, however when you play TFC, you'll be pleasantly surprised. You'll wonder how it gets so little mention outside of HL circles, where it's constantly labled ``shit'' by all the CS plebs. Oh the irony.

You're presuming she's on 56k. In the States cable and DSL is MUCH easier to get hold of, which if she has, then she's rocking.

Get CS, and always give Day of Defeat a whirl for the satisfaction that is killing Nazi's :)

Well I dont think TFC is crap, and I'm a CS player :p

TFC is great, some of the matches I've had in TFC have been just as good as any CS games...

TFC has the pace and action of CO, with the tactics and tenseness of MR12. :p

Is very good :p

what it is im trying to load is call Half-Life Platinum collection. it hasfour games init...
1 game of the year edition
2 opposing force
3 team fortress classic
4 counter-strike

man i'm bummed....where can i get help?
Sierras help site is down...afaik..typical

If i dont get it running today...i give up :(

Half the people who bash TFC, have never played it, and the other half have probebrly got a total playing time on it of 2hours.

I have played alot of CS. Infact, i've probebrly played more CS last year, than most of the people who just bash TFC.

Q3F > TFC > Pong > CS :)

And SawSall: What actually is your problem? It tells you it can't execute the install shield installer? There's no other way to install HL, so try using other Install shield installers, and if they work, then you know it's a problem with the CD. The 4th CD is CS-Retail, which can be played without HL, so try installing that, and if it works, then just ignore HL for the time being(assuming that you can install TFC with CS Retail??).

"constantly labelled shit", no its not, tfc-only players just like to say that ALL the fucking time... people have their own point of view about games, some like cs, some like tfc, some *shock* like BOTH *omg*

so be quiet about ALL the cs plebs.

Oh and i cant think of another cs mod besides cs that gets mentioned as much as tfc (except dod which i just remembered)

people just need to pull their head out their asses and stop going on about how much tfc gets slagged off. it doesnt.

Oh no not another CS/TFC arguement. Both games are totally different. Like most games you have to play them to respect them. Im no CS player but what ive played of it, it seems pretty good. Trouble is im addicted to base... erm TFC.

Cant see why people limit themselfs to one mod CS and TFC are great games and when one gets on yer tits play the other for a while .

Yep fraid so, and we can thank our friend ShockingAlberto as he still hasn't learnt, that whenever he opens his mouth nothing but shit comes out... U would think he would twig after a while, when the smell became toooo much, I mean geez this thread is absolutely reeking :p.

$aw$all, that sounds very unfortunatly like a buggered CD, I'd suggest u take it back and try and get the new Uber-HL pack instead, (not that Blue-Shift is infact worth playing, /me cries @ 15 lost quid...).
