Dont say it cant be done untill you try it Enigma... have you tried it ? Untill then .... untill then do not say that it cannot be done. And if .. just if it can be done you can start warming the butter in that pan.

Enigma u must be in cookoo land if u think albs cant defend the relic and go bash on our doors. The have the levels and numbers to do this, hell they could go bash both relic keepm doors and have defenders in both their own relics and still beat us (in prime time this is)

This is the post i agreed with initially. Do you even read before you post the answers... if you do not.. then i seriously suggest you change that policy of yours.

Horse you can take from Avalon Marsh straight to Sausage... you do know you can type /bind while on horse and dont actually have to jump and bind at PB and run to sausage right? :)

On another note spies... as soon as we start to see our keeps in our frontiers fall, we know something is up (evil someones on the way to weaken our relic guards).. So someone goes out to scout and low and behold they see a huge relic taking force and /sends start flying back and forth til everyone musters to defend and retake our keeps :)

Also a lot of ppl do xp out there.. i did a few levels in the 30s on trees out there, and u do notice invader lag. Not to mentiuon crafters in keeps, bored level 50s, and quite a few epics ppl go out there to do (level epics, lots of ppl leveling lately it seems :)

Dont need a spy to tell us u guys are coming.. in fact if someone said "Mids coming in 30min on raid! I would say to tell me when they are actaiully here then ill leave my xp spot :) Its not like defending takes as much organization as raiding, dont have to travel through uknown enemy terrotority really far and u say here is a keep, keep the baddies out ffs :) It takes a bit of organization true, but not the likes of a relic raid... because lots of ppl can join the call to arms and run to our relic keeps solo, they dont have to be in a big grp since they are so close :)

The strategy of taking tons of our keeps every night til we say forget it they are just kidding, donno if that will work, we are pretty proud and hapy to have all the relics (save one) not to mention emain gets totally empty and boring with no middies there to kill :)

Gah, do i have to answer the same question every time :)

Yes you bind while on horse but you still have to run for a bit.

Hello everyone,

I read this thread with interest, for it brings scouting to mind. There are quite a few of Albion who (like in Midgard and Hibernia, no?) give up much of their time to scout the frontiers. When, on Friday night, I heard of the dragon raid, I decided that my skills would be far better used to scout our frontier while the raid was attempted. Now, this is often thankless, and not something I seek addulation for. The mere fact that I can report exact numbers of invaders, where they are going and be a primary factor in thwarting their vile and evil schemes to bespoil our fair and... <coughs> Sorry, got carried away again.

While out there, I maintained contact with the heads of three guilds, giving them constant feedback on what I saw. I sadly had to pass up two cute looking grey elves, three lonely (all running solo) blue - in all senses - kobolds, and a few dwarves huffing and puffing along. I took my joy from knowing that they were counted, and marked for death.

Why do I say all this? Well, perhaps there are spies, I have my own suspicions, but until they are caught, I shall continue to do my duty to my realm by scouting. Noting the speed, the weaponry, the armour, etc. of each foe, helps determine the enemy's strengths and weaknesses.

I sometimes find myself in the most strange scenario's - scouting a Hibernian keep, only to stand there watching Hibernia fight off Midgardians, or arrive at a keep, determine the strength of defense for a raid in a few minutes, only to find another war party from Albion arrive for whom the information is perfect. Well, at least I hope it's acceptable.

I found Brannor's one post about the frontier quite amusing. Yes, a map definately helps, and I have slowly learnt, through my scouting, almost every little corner of every frontier, and where NOT to go. Those C-something creatures inhabit one particular hill, and surround it. The best way to look at it is, that every hill in the Pennines is inhabitted by something more than willing to eat you.

One last thing... Klavrynd, oneday when I am of your season, you will die by my blades. For to so carelessly run around Hadrian's Wall alone is not wise. <smirks>

Nice post alb of the unpronounceable name.

Spies are more interesting. Logic isnt. Noone should be able to run from there pk to a relic unseen. This rarely happens as there are a lot of scouts about.

There was a time when Albs didnt seem to have a scouting system. This seems to be sorted.

I find it depressing that ppl don't think slamming alb doors down is a good thing..

Already Midgard has hurt alb's pockets to the extent that some people are cleared out. This happened in Midgard just before we lost the relics.

It is a great shame that the fact that the relic keep is so tough nowadays means you have to soften it up by taking forts, since it more or less prohibits the rapid attack. It is important that the NPCguards there be tough though, of course it is.

Midgard simply have to get used to the fact that the forts we are attacking are ;
a) far more difficult to take than before
b) populated by a large defence at all times due to the outnumbering of the people who for some reason or other chose Albion.

We can win... but we must have the determination and the drive, the bloody mindedness of the same ferocity and ambition of our very first raid. How much do you want those relics?

I chose to play in Albion as I'm interested in the Arthurian legends and the Dark Age period. Also, it seemed to me, that Albion offered a more balanced class selection -- not powerful in melee or magic, but a fine line between the two.

Midgard didn't appeal at all, the Hibbie caster classes looked cool -- but I do have a thing for playing a Knight in shining armour. So here I am, fear my rez you Middies! As lots of dead Albs also do :)

You are right i prolly cant, but unlike you i do have some logic in my post and not just uncomprehendable obscene comments that you seem to love posting so much. Leads me to suggest that you have something of a personal matter against me, if so enlighten meh.

Im on the ball ??? Why on Earth would i wanna be anywhere near the ball ???
