A first in any subject is 70%+ and the course generally only teaches you about 25% of the acctual content from lectures etc so to get a first requires a hell of a lot of self discipline to study instead of playing games and getting pissed.... hence I'm aiming for a 3rd

You can get away without doing one for a while but it will hold you back in the future with regards to both salary and progression especially in the UK or USA ( if you choose CiMA you get a licence called CGMA which is accepted worldwide bit has specific ties with the US).

DAoC was more heavy during my first year, where I'd have two nights a week where the town was dead so I'd play all night. It was around the time that me and megadave spent 18+ hours doing Caer Sidi.. logging a multitude of characters each.

This year, I've barely managed to get any gaming time, :|.

Ah nice one. I've heard they are quite easy (you only need 50% or something) but it's a massive ballache studying for them whilst working.

It's very hard work to study for them whilst working. Surprised however there is no final scenario paper like there is with CIMA and ACA though! Good luck with them I remember my finals only too well.
