(*Already wearing snow-shoes*)

I've read some scientific (more edu-tainment) books about the existence of life in general, and, the specific requirements for humans. People don't seem to realise we live within very tight parameters (from a planetary point of view).

The Earth is probably more "happy" (or stable) being a ball-of-ice, or a fiery-rock, our very existence (so far) has been a delicate balance, almost a freak occurance. We're 80% water, but we live on the land, the land only covers 1/3 rd of the planet (for now!), and we need to breathe from a slither of air that exists only in the lowest layer of the atmosphere. It reminds me of that nature program where they cracked open a lump of rock (miles underground in a darkened mine) and discovered a thin layer of algae, that can only exist in this form....under the top layer of rock to protect itself, but close enough to the surface to get moisture....that's us on a smaller scale.

Lets all live under the sea!

I wouldn't worry too much Scoobs, if somethign like the film happened it would more likely be over a few hundred years.

You lot obviously don't live in Scotland, it's constantly pishing with rain here and on some days i'm convinced there is going to be a great freeze.

Fucking sucks when I read the weather and it says:

"London - a high of 22 degrees and sunshine."

"Edinburgh - a fucking baltic 9 degrees with a northerly wind making it feel like your face is going to fall off. 100% chance of a total piss down."

It is scary but it's not past Hollywood to choose their experts / nutcases carefully to scare the world's population into grabbing seats for the film.

Agreed.

What I think will definitely be more scary is Michael Moore's new film, because that's about the real world today.

Yeah, but there's nothing in his new film that isn't everywhere on the net, it's just that Joe Public Americans generally get their news from the controlled media (Charly don't surf). "Everythings fine. Continue as normal."

Is there evidence to suggest the ice-age will take long? Once it tips over the edge it could easily have a snowball effect (heh).

Oh, give details on michael moores film :D

I think it covers how much time-off Bush had whilst President prior to 9/11, his, and his families, relationships to the Bin Ladens, Saudi & oil. Here's the synopsis from the festival.

Here's a Letter he sent to Bush from March last year, I think he's sent a few.

But his film appears to be a Glen! ... like I said.

I've been saying since the week it happened that the American regime orchestrated those attacks against their own people.

I've said it loudly, often and EVERY time been looked at like I was a fucking lunatic.

I didn't win no Palmdoor.

Though to be fair I didn't make a film about it.

I like it when humans are compared to slime.

Maybe all the stuff that shows up at the end of TV NEWS (*gasp*) about that new ice age or an asteroid about to hit, or some kind of sspace monster flying out of the ocean just out of hibernation and devouring our entire supply of mars bars, will scare the shit out of you for the right reason: we don't know very much about what goes on with the planet, and indeed the planet in the context of the rest of the solar system and beyond. Maybe more care should be taken about pumping random gases into the atmosphere, and more money given to decent scientists (possibly taken from TV news reporters) who can find ways to protect the place from the bigger, faster moving rocks of space. Aswell as the chocolate-hunting space-squids.

it's my studied opinion that MM rocks. I do not entirely agree with the (imo) slight sensational-esque way he delivers his message, but boy does he ever hammer that sore-spot heheh :)

The poles (north/south) are over due for a shift to, so that's another thing to chalk up on the list.

Although "Day after Tomorrow" highlights what could happen to the earth (it would take hundreds of years, not all in one day like the film shows), there are other factors like the state of soceity today...

It's a race between the world and us humans, who will destroy us first? Place your bets...

Stuff like this makes you realise you NEED to live life to the full, for when you pass on (and it could be unexpectedly), you can look back thinking "hey I glad I did that..." not "I wish I did that..."

Regret doesn't stay with you once you're dead though IMO. Nothing anyone ever does really ever matters.

On the other hand - let's all get drunk! \o/

Ok, it probably does use the same facts as that film, but surely that's because they are, ummm, facts? Also, at the end of their statment is this.
Purchase 9/11: The Road to Tyranny by clicking here.

Watch the whole film online by subscribing to Prison Planet.tv by clicking here.
It's like they're saying, "Bad, Bad Micheal Moore, what an asshole, copying us!!" ..... "By the way, give us some money for our film instead" ;)

You read his latest book? 'Dude where's my country?'

I liked bowling for columbine though, dunno how good this will be.

I liked Bowling for Columbine too, I thought it was quite well balanced, and gave the viewer the chance to come to their own conclusions about guns, although I felt Charlton Heston was a bit foolish to do that interview.

Only as foolish as his own beliefs.

Which, tbh, considering how he acquitted himself in the "interview", was pretty fucking foolish.
