Goodbye, or maybe Au Revoir, who can tell. In case its goodbye, I decided to make this post. It seems to be traditional to make a post like this then get slagged off if you do decide to come back. Who am I to break with tradition. Well, I have had too many people be good to me over the last 2 years not to thank them so I guess I'm not different.

I will be around a little longer to make sure the reformed alliance stays stable and there is continuity, and then I log off (for probably the last time) on the last weekend in January, regardless of when account runs out.

I don't know if I'll be able to finish Bloodline now, so I'll make a separate spoiler thread in Creative to explain what's going on.

There are a few people I need to say thankyou to. I will inevitably miss some out - I'll probably facepalm and apologise. Aside from the first 2 names on this list, the names appear in no particular order of importance.

The Bindstone 3:

Aside from myself, Nicodemus and Hound were the original founders of Fedaykin. These two got down to making sure things were light and fluffy while I made sure things were done as properly as I could make them. The advice, help and fun we had together is missed.

Nico could always be relied on to pass any and all work directly to me bypassing any need to do anything himself. You just have to admire the skill. Yes indeed, in RL he works at middle management level. Ricky Gervaise is his god.

Hound has a level of devious cunning you just have to love and the owner of my favourite ever quote from a player: "I'm not a coward, I'm just tactically aware." The only man that played a hunter AFK while pulling and still levelled.

When we started Fedaykin I knew exactly how to run the guild and was of course dead wrong.

In no particular order, a ship of fools I will fondly remember...

Snodog (Didn't stay in game long, but was a big part of the early days of Fed)

Krok - Big Krok and Little Krok. Big Krok = Mr. Dependable. Little Krok is an amiable guy.

Blackdeath - Had to lie to him and say that you got RP for killing mobs so he would level. Dragging him out of Emain to get him to 50 was a nightmare.

Kirinia - Teh Wiggle. Albs just whine until they get their own way but all Mids know that Kiri will always be Teh Wiggle.

Ambulanssi - drove me bananas trying to reign him in, but still a friend. Kinda like the Mr. Angry of Midgard.

Mimer - one of the nicest guys we've ever had in Fedaykin and been our pleasure to have him with us.

Whitepoison/Missy - Can always be relied on to hit the wrong mob.

Slanko - One of the nicest guys ever in game. First met on Hib/Ex.

Talwin - very nice guy. If only he could be convinced to actually level

Tickleme/Crouchingtiger - Miss miss miss miss miss miss miss miss dead

Bonetopick - Acid humour at its best, good player too.

Mslehat - Aimiable and clueless. The perfect Fedaykin.

Gatts/Joraall - We get DF. In go the SBs to clean it out and stop tin cans and treehuggers from getting the rest of us. Gatts never quite figured that out. He always logged in just after the Albs got DF and logged on to see an inf zerg smiling at him.

Taromas/Isharo - Must... resist... mjollneir. Oops, did I do that? Or when playing SB: Ding 40! Right off to see if I can kill something now ... pause a week ... Ding 41! Right off to see if I can kill something now... Ding 50! Bah.

Makky - could be relied on to run things once in a while and make a few things happen. Has the misfortune of have MA as first 2 letters of his name.

Fardo - Nice guy, missed since going mostly inactive.

Brewzer - Quiet, unobtrusive and a really nice guy. Never babbled away like the rest of us, but always a good guy to be around with.

Mieramy/Greyvenom - was an officer in Fed for a very long time and a good player too.

Addlcove - has quickly proved to be a witty and outstanding guy, though haven't known him very long.

Blackshadow - got to have been one of the longest its taken an SB to get to 50. If he can get rid of the occasional stormcloud that floats over him a very nice guy underneath.

Lendan/Rimn - one of my favourite peeps to grace the game. Had long chats and a good laugh together. Sadly missed since leaving DAoC.

Frorhan - bet you didn't think I'd remember you, you gimp, did you?

Ele - :(

Gaeswen - Mr. Encyclopaedia. Rarely wrong on game mechanics.

Bigred - brilliant name.

Grommel - Thoroughly nice guy, and very helpful.

The Blackbyrd Family

Classiest players in the game. I thought I could come up with stupid ways to do things but these guys are head and shoulders above me. These two are probably most famous for nearly taking an Alb keep just the two of them and their antics are always a brilliant laugh.

Belorfyn - best Spirit Master. Ever. Anywhere.

Mortymer - Doesn't talk much. Just fires lots of arrows into things. Things that stop moving shortly afterwards.

Nyd

Can't really mention these guys individually. For a long time it was just Ayam, Krill and Esola, all of whom I remember hunting with. Trigali and others came later, but its the original three that will always be Nyd to me. So sue me.
Regardless, even the later additions were all nice people I've had some good laughs with.

From around the realm...

Korvarn - Nowhere near as dumb as he looked. But then, what is. Oh yeh, the next troll to come along.

Zaksoth - Nice guy. Can't hold his booze, bit of a lightweight.

Kharok - Midgard's favourite teddybear. Albion's too. He must have caused more Alb Realm Rank dings than any other player.

Silverwolf - Um, not sure who he is. Some gimp with a porn moustache I seem to remember.

Jareth - How he got to 50 I'll never know: "Inc!" - Jareth was just killed by 10 Drakulvs - "Was that a scout?"

Cookiemonster - Has the nicest set of cookies in Midgard. Can make you laugh when you feel like poo.

Cerbie - THE Purity babe

Borgdur - Always had good advice but you just know if he was in Dad's Army he'd be running around saying "We're doomed!!!" The attitude was probably from having been on many of my hunts so was a fair comment. Had lots of fun duo down in Vanern getting ourselves killed repeatedly.

Some random good guys...

Hargh - good leader, reliable, knows his stuff

Firfin - Vroooooooooooooooooooooooom. Oops, wrong way.

Thain - Hello everyone! Its Thain! From Spain!

Brannor/ Glue Thong - Miss those Friday Flames. I remember being in G2 at Malmo and Big G was taking all the agro off G1... they weren't happy. We of course laughed like horses.

Dozigden Grumpypants - Thoroughly good leader, and very good at organising, making things happen. Despite what he'd like you to believe, he's a nice guy.

klavrynd - klav rocks. Just deal with it.

Ogmarin - OGGY OGGY OGGY! I'll never forget ol' Tuppe just being confused when I used to run up to him and shout this at Gna Faste :D

Ozird/Tufnir - he doesn't realise/remember it but I learned quite a bit from him.

Azal - Best SB in the game.

Ardrias - Have a shave, clean up your act, you'll do fine. The hunt which took us to Malmo and Vanern is probably my favourite ever hunt. The near wipe in Malmo with just me and the healer as last people standing one of my favourite PvE fights in game.

Zarff - always makes me chuckle. Friendly and witty guy always a pleasure to see around.

Zapsi - hmm how to keep it short. Have collaberated on a lot of things. Zap gets frustrated at my undying loyalty to the ordinary players of DAoC which has led to me getting the blame at times for things, some of it justified. Will miss this one-eyed git.

Blood - not had massive contact with the little hunter, but he was one of the first to fall about laughing when I wanted an RR for the day the PvP server went live which started with me Pm'ing "I'm a git, want to hear the proof?". Without support from Blood and others like him, very little I've tried to do would even have got off the ground.

Aarween - long time since really seen around but great person.

Skrald - Amiable chap who was good to have in Fed when he was there.

Jeriraa - all round cool peep. Not to be messed with. Always entertaining when someone else does though. Teh scary lady with teh big stick!

Fafnir Dragonfart - Midgard's horsethief. What people don't know is that there are double the number of horse routes they think there are, just Faf got to the horses...

Koxi - /fluffle

Farathorn - Ace guy.

Rustane - Glad I don't have to listen to his ACTUAL singing...

Guilds...

Sometimes you can't pick out a single player, like with Nyd. Since most guilds are slightly larger than Nyd were (except at Nyd's last stand), this could take a while. I could probably come up with some anecdote for most of the players in these guilds I mention:

From our alliance:

Bragi's Scorpions - Bloody golfers that live next door to us!
Salamanders - guild blonde guild blonde guild blonde guild blonde :D
Danish Huscarls - Mmm bacon
Norsefejd
Vanir of Vanaheim
United Warlords
Onlsaught
Time
Wrath of Valhalla
Evilution - Stopping trade on AS basically stopped Krakatau from posting :D
Reduco ad Honore
Loki's Fallen (who had better make damned sure they look after my favourite Thane)

Norssken - the various guilds in this alliance I know so many people from. Special mention for Bimbobane and Svartur.

New Era - Savage Conclave, Talon's Reach, Amazons of Midgard and others. All good people, again, so many I know here. Special mentions for Spug and Jimmae.

Faith Alliance - Warriors of the Mist, WR, some other gimps here and there. Lots of nice people I've spent time with. WotM House party 4 teh win!

The UK Dentists: if any of you reading this are still playing and part of this crowd of nutters, send my best regards to Starkill and Mavis and that gimp hunter. Got good memories of the various lunacy we got up to.

Pondscum bottom sucking enemies...

Papa Cho - His catchphrase should be: "More man than you'll ever be, more woman than you'll ever get!"

Shaeffer - was kinda like Alb's welcoming red carpet. Always lying down in front of MMGH when we went to visit until he deleted and came to Mid.

Gromnir - I refuse to use your treehugger name.

Jupitus, Uncle Sick and the rest, who always made me laugh on forums.

Too many other people to mention I guess - it was getting to the stage where I'd have been quicker just to copy and paste the entire list of Midgard players from Duskwave. Apologies to those that I've missed because I've got a head like a sieve. Apologies for the PM's I've missed with alarming regularity.

And I don't care what anyone else says:

The Dark SM has more class than any other class.

Well, what can I say. Catch you laters, then.

Don't really know what else I should say here, somehow I feel the usual "Good luck in RL" isn't it, I only know Roo in game anyway. :)

We had some good times, and Midgard will be more dull now.

Bye for now.

I guess it was more of me getting a house and a consignment merchant that stopped me from posting :D

As long as the Dark SM is named Roo, it's a classy class =)

Take care and hope to bump into you again, be it DAOC or WoW.

Cheers to you for hanging in there for so long time and helping Midgard

Now I'm gonna have a pint of DARK swedish porter to honour THE Dark SM :drink:

All the best,
Krakatau

Bah I was driving home from work when I realised I'd forgotten to include my favourite little kender in the game. Apologies Tas.

And Cami, choice of sig noticed and appreciated. I remember hunting in Vanern and you joined us for a while just to help out though you had nothing much really to gain out of killing a few Jotuns.

EDIT: forgot also to mention Pudz, who has always cracked me up and I've had fun with at odd times. Also Serdif, who I'll still be in touch with out of game who is also a cool peep. I'll probably remember more. As said, I should just get a print out from Duskwave and be done with it :D

You will be remembered for all your achivements - while some lead with harsh words you always showed respect and with that came the trust and obedience from hundreds of Midgardians, you will be missed Roo.

you were the only person who could lead the whole realm to whatever raid you could think off without them bitting eachothers head off. ;)
best of luck roo, feel free to come on the couch like the rest of us,we kinda left him in BW but we'll dig up a new one when solid passes here :p
