Yeh but cars just go flat out.
Runners pace themselves so they dont run out of energy. Bit more tactical than break, accelerate, break, accelerate.

erm...cars pace themselves too so that they don't blow an engine or run out of fuel...or kill their tyres, etc...

If anything Nascar is more exciting to watch because the track is so large and there are more overtaking opporunities than in say F1.

Having said that both Nascar and F1, and running for that matter are equally sh1te.

The only sport I would ever consider watching on the telly is something like topless lesbian swarfega darts...and even then I'd have to be pretty bored.

Bravo is a different channel. Actually Bravo is sometimes watchable. Men and Motors is cringeworthy :)

Ok getting back to the subject.
Football was once a sport, now its just a business. They have a channel on sky so dedicated to football, that when they aren't playing they constantly show the current leadership board and practice play, either that or they have so called "experts" discussing football, these "expert" are so sad they had a live discussion on xmas eve, whats the matter with these people don't they have lives. and the only reason I know this is that the boring bastards at work like football and say that sport has to be on the TV for the customers. I get around that by putting the extreme channel on, now skateboarding, thats something that takes effort and control.
F1 was also once a sport but its all about business now, remember when Irvine wasn't allowed to finish ahead of the German twat (I'm not gonna try to spell his name) because of "team orders". And then there's Jenson button, the Jar Jar Binks of the f1 world, I don't watch it any more, the days of Senna and Mansell are long gone.

K think I've said enough now, I'll get my coat.

I used to be really into football, but one thing after another - namely Forest going down (again) and never reemerging, then the constantly stupid wages and cash in hand just started to take the piss.
The nice thing abotu sport is while, yes, there may be times when a team will dominate, but you can always look forward to a change at some point. Football has past that stage now.

Then of course there is ITV..... Match of the Day wasnt as good as people say (much of it is now folklore) - the commentry was often pretty bad, but OH MY GOD what have the commerical bastards done now..... they put ad breaks in F1, and now we get the "Tactics Truck" on the footy- where Andy Townsend (oh what a player) tells the *guest player of choice* what he thought they did wrong....
Having watched abotu half of the 7pm show last night, I counted 4 ad breask in the space of 45 minutes... takes the fucking piss.
