It's simple really: the forum is being moderated. The moderators have to be able to understand each post, so that they can do their job. You can't expect the mods to know every language there is, so ( since it's an english forum) you have to post in english, since anything else could be against the rules ( can't tell if you can't understand the language).
Now I agree that they should then do it in ALL posts, but then again you can't expect them to read everything everywhere...

its not that i dont understand it. i want to see a mob explain and not simply quote what u said. and if they feel that only english should be spoken here they should put it in the rules. and do their job properly since there are 100's of threads that have foreign languages in posts, which i cant read but they dont change those.

and where is it said to be an english forum anyway? afaik the adress says .com and not .co.uk

I editted your post because (as the CoC says) these forums are english and your posts should also be in english just like the topicstarter (who is dutch aswell as you) did.

I edit the posts my own way and i have been doing it like this since day one. My alternative was to completely delete your post but then you would have asked were your post went. So the only reason i did it like this is for you to see why it was editted.

Reason why we may have missed a few posts is simply because we cannot see everything all the time. We moderate in our own free time and there are simply too many posts made for us to see all of them. So that's why we have the "Report" option.

Furthermore i strongly suggest you write every post in english from now on. If you have troubles translating maybe you can ask a friend? You might find it funny to annoy moderators, we don't find it funny. I have removed all the non english from this thread and i hope i won't bump into anymore non-english again.

Because Ziva forgot (?) to delete the quote too, that reply now looks like Knolan simply quoted Burps post and added some lame remark about a typo.

Ziva, you should take a good look (visually) to Knolan's first post. It's confusing as hell if one misses the tiny line 'last edited by Ziva'

And it doesn't matter that it wasn't harmfull, i know it wasn't since i'm dutch myself. However, can you judge for instance Japanese on beeing harmfull or not based on words only? I don't think so.

I think the point is very clear. It's not only the fact that the CoC doesn't allow it, it's also very impolite to make a topic or reply in a language a lot of readers don't understand.

Speaking as a user of this forum i can't give a damn not understanding some replies made in foreign languages. I usually never make a reply in my own language myself but i couldn't understand someone being offended by such replies if (on top of that) the poster speaks that language himself.

didn't expect it to be personal anyway, i just wanted to post a bit more valid link about the subject. the last 2 i posted werent so clear about the language thing.

and ofcourse i understand it not a 24/7 job, hell i couldnt even do it 1 hour a day. thats why I found sadisfaction in just reporting other posts . next time i get pissed im just gonna report some posts works like a charm!

You can hide yourself behind a CoC but your intervention on Knolan's post is COMPLETELY disproportioned in regard of what was said by him... but hey , you try to do your job correctly and that's what matters afterall, maybe try to be more consequent in the future ???
