Damm Post Office decided they wouldn't ring my bell so I got to go and collect it tomorrow.

They probably didn't even come. They did that to me once. The sorting office closes at 12pm, which is a gay time for everything (including mid-day).

right-click on the game you want to backup in steam > backup games...

was only added fairly recently i think.

I do this and it creates the files and everything. I then open the file and it runs properly which is great.

I burn it to DVD and then try and run it from the DVD and I get an error!!!
Ive now wasted 2 DVD's on this!

So Ive now created 7 files to burn onto CD. I still get an error after I have burnt the disks!

FFS!!!!

hmmm...first file runs if I copy it off the CD. But it gives me and error when trying to copy it off the DVD. :(

Yeah, your purchase is linked to your account. You can download it whenever you need.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I've downloaded NAV for the last few years directly from Norton, and they only allow you to download it free for a year. Valve might be more friendly however. :)

My backup crashed about 90% of the way through the restore... :/

So Ive had to re-download HL2...wasn't too bad I suppose as I just set it to run overnight.
