So thats why ppl on pryd/thid were asking me whether Im from excal/mid. My thid toons start will Illu(..) now I can see why we get mixed up ;o

Yup Illudian, I've always had the name Illu from even before Daoc, and like you, just put a different ending on it for each toon :> I got Illu from years ago when I was playing Quake firstly on Wireplay servers (anyone remember them?) and saw this cool skin someone had made that made you "blend" into the walls, it was called illusion.pcx I think. I then called myself Illusion2 for a while, shortened to illu2, and then joined a clan called XC Xtreme Chaos for Barrysworld's QuakeWorld Leagues. Those were the days :> Then eventually Quake2 came out, then Quake3 (with a lot of Quake players going to Quake3 :/) and eventually it kinda fizzled out.
Then a good friend of mine sent me daoc beta and said have a look at this :> I installed it a few weeks later, made a Thane ^^, and got hooked. Then when the game started proper, rolled a healer called Illu (that took 6 months to get to level 50 :>) and while waiting for a group in Malmohus, I made a little alt called Illusb, and slowly started levelling him up.
In the end, I preferred playing the sb as you can log in and play without having to wait to get a group, and 3(?) years later, here we are :>
