If security cannot tell the difference between bursting ballons and gunshots, they shouldn't be guarding the queen.

I can understand a sense of humour failure when it come to security.
What if the ballons had been a tactic to mask a gunshot?

If you play practical jokes with security, especially those protecting the Queen, you should expect to be arrested. Killing the queen is an act of treason...therefore any other act seen as being aggressive towards her wouldnt be taken lightly either.

Its like this guy at the airport joked about having a gun in his violin case....he was arrested for that....and quite rightly so.

lol c'mon.

Why would you even need to mask a gunshot? Surely the game would be up when security watch the queen's brains trickle out of the gunshot wound to the head.

Well....You could get a group to burst some balloons...everyone looks in that direction....then from the opposite direction some guy pulls out a gun and shoots the queen.
