I checked the planetside webby, but it didnt pique my interest.

So, I checked to see if Mankind was still running, and it's doing pretty well!

Was still fumbling around with the interface after half an hour. One person joined up and gave me some n00b advice on where to start etc. Otherwise I'd still be lost in space.

I've just been looking at Planetside, and I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's something I would be dire at, but it does look like good fun. Just downloaded the film to show Kenny, and I think he's going to give it a whirl. I might just sneak on his account while he's out, and give it a try, completely sabotaging his reputation and character in the process. Anyone know if/when there will be an open beta?

Its in open beta now by the way, I cant remember if I signed up or not but I wasnt one of the 30,000 they just added in beta 6.

Apparently, people who got in on the beta can now invite another person to join them, and he was asking if any of you lot were social leper enough to have a spare account and no friend to donate it to. He phrased it nicer than that though :)

Hiya Damini, yeah asked nicely and got flamed. Sadly it's looking like it's the way most of the bworld forums are going. If you are a new face in the particular forum you're open game. Anyhow thanks for cheering me up :)

Beta is already in open status but not public status which means if you havent been invited you need to find a key. Looks doubtful that the game will go public beta.

Go to the DAoC forums and ask around. They'll probably be just as rude, but with a few more people interested in planetside.

And if worst comes to worst, I can dish out spankings in there if the natives get feral :) Here its a kind of fuedal system. Wild hair and greying pants rampaging on the battlements. And Wij. All fear the terrors of Wij.
