I remember my best city had something like 10m citizens. I've installed it on the lappy, so I'll be having a crack at it sometime later tonight methinks :D

System Shock 2, never caught on yet its one of the best games I have ever played, next to Half-Life :)

Yeah totally agree, it was the first *thinking* FPS and if you ever played System Shock (1) you'd also have to agree that this is a great ignored game!!

Thief series.

I loved the two games to bits as did most critics...

But they were largely ignored by the public :(

I tend to disagree, Half-Life was a *thinking* game and look at how big that is!!

I didn't find it that much of a thinking game...just a script and a load of switchs...very good none the less.

*thinking*

Well yeah, it is very sctipty at times (very obvious) but compared to just walking and killing like in the unreal series it does offer some challenge on the mind, some more than others :)

i prefer games without licences

it seems that as soon as a developer gets a licence they just ignore developing a good game and just push out any old tosh, as they know the licence sells

there are some exceptions though :)

Homeworld is great, but Cataclysm is so so much better :)

The MP aspect of Cataclysm is so good, its one of the most enjoyable RTS' to play MP.

The Thief series were very enjoyable also...

and Sim City 2000 was just ub3r l33t, I spent so so soooooooo long on my city in that, spanned entire map, it was 95% arco's, the best arco... The rest was fusion powerplants/hydroelectric dam system on a huge hill I built because i was bored... that hydro thing generated enough power to power almost all my city itself.... I cant remember my population but it was over 1million I'm sure...

I had buggerloads of cash....

Oh man what a cracking game :)

Almost forgot - 10six was good. I beta tested it and had a blast playing the game. Too bad tho, when it was finally done Heat tried to make everyone pay for it. I don't hear anything about it anymore.
