If you are lvl 50, rezzing a yellow con shouldnt take much of your mana.

1/2 bar of mana for a lvl 50 res, 10% of the bar for a lvl 46.

Around 50% for a yellow.

Indeed - but my point concerning mana efficiency is that Paladins have *no* other uses for their mana at present. So, in the 'big picture', it (appears to!) make perfect sense for us to do the rezzing of non-powered types and friars/clerics topping up the health bar.

Typical tank = hmm, 1.8?k hp unbuffed, prolly a bit less tbh. 5% life from your res, leaves me with 3 Greater Reviction's to cast, barring crits, taking ooh, the same amount of mana as a res would've, and the same amount of time. Ho hum.

Hmm, nerf posting at 8am. Anyway, Greater Reviction = Major Refocillation in the last post, choose the wrong spell :\

Ok Loch, my bad - tho with so many tanks having IP (with first aid a prerequisite) you probably wouldn't have to heal the whole of their HP bar.

erm, anyone wasting FA or IP for some health while res sick is almost certainly insane.. only one occassion where you'd do this (ie if you get a mid battle ghetto rez).

Hib/Mids has an advantage there as they have heal over time. One sanative trance from my mentalist will heal pretty much any sitting tank to full, and that only costs 44 power.

Just a two pennies though:

Shame to the one that refuses a rez, no doubt.

But shame also to those (stealthers mainly) that refuses to team up at the frontier, couse they can farm more RPs alone, but want to be rezzed when dead.

Clerics (and others) are support classes, need to team up to give the best to the all group.
Not fair to request their services and refuse to team up with them.

Is not common, the huge majority of stealthers are correct people and good friends.... but happens (and more with all those buffbots around)

Point taken and agreed with on my behalf.

One thing that will may lead to anger on occasions is this scenario-

You run at amg and a large battle ensues with albs charging...the battle is in the sway.

Most clerics I feel would leave the 2 alb bodies on the flooor that were there from the offset UNTIL the outset of the battle can be better predicted. I dont rez blindly ina battle, I assess, what aids us more, rezzing **** in front of me....or leaving them on the floor until the battle is won...conserving mana for the ones still alive (and possibly taking damage).

Often the choice may be to rez the person straight away, equally tho, I may 'run over' them until the field is won..then returning to wherever I 'ran over' dead albs.

Its nor 'farming'.....its assesment and implementation of tactics. No point in using 1/3 of my mana rezzing some if that means my team dies in the fight (and hence the rezed guy just dies agaion anyway).

Yes Matt I couldn't agree more.

Was playing my (Alb) Cleric today and died right by silo as my group were taken by surprise by a group of Hibs. 2 full groups of Albs ran over and past me and I had to release and leave my group who couldn't help me as they were in combat with no cleric. They had to wait then until I ported back for their heals and buffs.

That's bad news play :(

Realistically though, if your group was chasing after some mids/hibs and you saw a corpse, would you stop to res?

Your group could be across Emain before they turn back for you, by which time a couple of SBs have diced you up nicely.

Strictly 'imo', acolytes should always be with their group. You never know what's coming at you from clipping range and within a minute or so, your group could be dead, because you stopped at the amg to res up.

Basically, the responsibility for ressing does not fall on clerics/friars/paladins, but the entire group. So, if a resser runs over your corpse, it's not his fault, but the whole group.

Maybe if groups shared the RPs for ressing, you would see more of them stopping. Otherwise, forget it.

True but some people after a fight haven't ressed, anyway it seems to be improving now.
