i dont go to the gym when im ill or really hungover or i just make it worse ive found, if im tired etc then i will and i feel really chirpy after but if ill i just feel even worse after and get really dizzy, i have this paranoia about being launched off a treadmill into a wall at some point and it being the most embarrasing thing ever and it'll hurt so im trying to not let it come into fruition

I do living room work out:

- exercise my bum (tryin' to reach the perfect poise on my sofa)
- exercise my phalanges (zappin' all over the shity programs on nowadays tv)
- allround exercise (when i change from sit to a complete layout of my body allover the sofa)

Works wonders!!1

Since my operations i've been trying to excersize, but its not gone well. Some of the drugs thet had me on last year have the chance of causing Arthritis, and since I pulled my back at christmas, they want to be sure I havent done anything permanent.

That means little excersize until they can book me into the MRI scanner. Little pissed because I want to be fit enough to go walking out on the Moors again this spring. Been cooped up in the house for too frigging long. Its probobly for the best I don't own a dog, it would never have gotten a walk in ages.

you tried swimmin binks? i mean its a good way to exercise all your muscles and your body is supported so you shouldn't pull anything. Might help you get to a stage of fitness where you can do some higher impact stuff later on any hoo.

Faf with a routine like that you should get a cow, you'd save a fortune on the milk bills Oo

I have the same prob, need to work out certain muscles but avoiding weight lifting or anything harsh to the muscles themselves. I'm testing Pilates and Stretching atm, sounds gay but its working so far.

I've tried swimming, but sadley I have to wear a colostomy bag, and the glue on these new ones are shite. Last time I attempted it, the bag started to come off, and I had to walk all the way back to the appartment holding it in place. Thankfully, I was at a holiday home that catered for the elderly and people recovering from operations (In Turkey too which suprised me). They had staff on hand to help out so it wasn't as embaressing as you'd think.

At the time being though, I'm trying to do light excersize's, but its all based around the house. If I'm no better in a month, its back to the scanner and probobly injections again. After three years of this shit again, i'm beginning to feel like a goddamn junky.

I've been doing bike rides every day for a while now :) Feel much better and less worn out when doing anything! I also walk the dogs every day but thats not really anything new. You should try to get exercise out of what you do in your normal week, say you go down the shop to get your weekly foodstuffs how about walking down there?

i am assuming this was an unintentional pun Oo

sorry to hear about your swimming mishap though that really sucks but i mean if it makes you feel any better i had an embarassing thing at my local pool, i have to swim with a float cos im pathetic so there i am in the slow lane brandishing my float (which looks like a giant slice of toast) and this woman...who must have been at least 390 years old has a right go at me for being too slow!

i tell you what if i'd of thought i could have taken her in a fight i would of walloped her one! rude sod, imagine if it was the other way round and i'd had a pop at an old crumbly for being too slow, the life guard would have given me a right bollocking!

anyway i never went back there after that, which is a shame because i'd just got used to getting splashed and not totally spazzing out :(

anyway i did me work out last night, used my cross trainer...used my weights (rar biceps!) did my sit ups....and now im proper ill rofl whats that experssion people use in times like this?

oh yeah...bugger!

Managed to leave the house and headed round to Aesgir's yesterday, first stopping off for some munchies. Its only a 5 minute walk, uphill to his house from the local shops, what could go wrong?

Surprsingly, nothing, although I could swear the crossing point you have to go through has had a few seconds shaved off the 'car stop'. Felt good to be out and about walking again, although the thin film of swear on my brow did betray the effort I had to put in. My back held out well too, which was a bonus as far as i'm concerned. Who knows, if all goes well in a few weeks, I can go visit my mum in Ireland, albeit a few weeks later that normal (Usually take her out for a meal on mothersday, had to settle for sending flowers this year).

Still, got another day out on tuesday planned, trip to Games Workshop with friends in Manchester. All things considered, if I can survive a 6 hour day trip out, i'm not in as bad a condition as I thought.
