I thought so, since the forum is dead (I.E. zero posts)
Not only that, the seach engine is bugged.
And your worst crime, not including ICE products there.
And possibly what you're doing is against the CoC..(I might be wrong tho).

So posting a link to an external web site is not Ok then?

so www.darkageofcamelot.com would be against the CoC, right?

Seeing as they are a Commercial enterprise.

Don't bandy words with me, You know you're in the wrong, if you feel you're not, you can email the forum admins and demand your right to post links to your online shop.

Go on, better still I'll report this thread to them for you and they can judge...:)

Because once you start letting these types of threads through, it sets a bad trend and people start posting all sorts of junk advertising their wares.

No one DO care about the CoC, so if this would happen, it would just as well happen now :D

Actually, the thread doesn't get ignored here, it gets held/deleted and the offender gets a warning the first time.

I know, I used to Mod here.

hehe..this is so funny

The web site in question is a News/Information site relating to lots of gaming types. The fact they sell stuff, is in my opinion no different to posting a link to Camelot's site, seeing as they have news and info, and also, funnily enough sell games.

Ho ho ho.
This forum is affiliated with Camelot, makers of DAOC.
So of course posting links to Camelot sites is OK.

Hilarious...

Also , the DAOC CoC created by Camelot also applies here, so there's a whole bunch of other rules you need to abide by as well.

Really!!

There was me thinking they just host the forums for Camelot, as well as many other games.

If by Affilliation you mean they are listed on Camelots web site under the links, then perhaps you should look further down that list under PARP.

I am in NO WAY applying that My site is affiliated with Camelot / Mythic / Goa.

Perhaps you would like to state why the DAOC CoC applies here. I am not making money out of this game. I am purely posting a link for people , so they can look at a web site which has news/info about games.

As far as i know, "camelot" has not created any CoC :D

Mythic might have, GOA might have, but camelot only make flame reasons and characters :D

You pretty much admitted the website was yours.
Or at very least advertising for you "Friends".
I've seen this kind of "Spamming" lots of times before.
It's bad enough with all the email spam going about, without people like you spamming on forums.

Still, please explain to me how the DAoC CoC applies to posts I make on a Public forum?

They did! It's the CoC that all the knights under the command of Arthur Whatshisname had to obey. Like, be knightly...keep armor clean...no spamming the townboard with silly leaflets :p

Bit of a grey area here but in my PERSONAL and I stress personal opinion

Hes put it in off topic, there doesn't appear to be a clear financial gain from his site, it just looks like he is providing people with a link to a webby which supplies information about and relating to DAoC

All be it off topic mainly it doesn't do anything wrong in my book so I am gonna leave it be

Other mods may think differently but thats my 2p

If we start to ban every link to relevant information then we begin to stifle the stimulation of the community in these areas and therefore end up shooting ourselves in the foot

Thanks for reading
