also, it almost seems as if the flail is weighted for choice (eg brutes choose it over other weapons if they have it), but that may just be me thinking it is so heh :/ I mean, one of my brutes has a knife and two swords but boy does she seem to love her knife.

You are probably right. My char seem to pop up the flail an overwhelming amount of times. The whip also seems favourable if a brute has it in its inventory. That weapon is just insane, and knocks weapons out of the hand many times as well.

yeah I say it today when reviewing a tournament loss. it has huge range it seems, and once hit your brute seems to go back to the starting position rather than continuing for a strike.
