Just noticed IE6 uses a fair amount of extra resources. Task manager showed IE5.5 at 12MB, IE6 at 19MB.

Hummm you guys remember when I said smilies are appearing. Well come to think of it. It started after installing Beta 6. I have upgrade to full since but still same :/

Might be an idea to rollback to IE5.5 if MS allows meh.

Actually that's a point.

Has anyone EVER done a successful rollback of IE?

Last time I did it, I had to rebuild my entire godamned machine. Lost all my favourites, like all of them. Fecked up all my dialup and proxy settings + more!!

Damned Microsoft!!!

Its Cos of the ultra-high integration between IE and Windows.

Successfully uninstalled IE5.5 SP2 back to IE4 at work. No probs at all. The only time uninstalling IE has been a problem (as far as I'm aware) is when trying to remove IE4.

Last time I upgraded to a newer MS browser, me PC would restart as soon as it got into windows... had to reformat.

Never ever gonna touch whatever browser is installed with Windows EVER again :)
