For trees

2 Clerics
1 Sorc
1 -2 Minst (2 if no sorc)
1 BT Thurg
2-3 Tanks
1 Wizzie in place of a tank if u like Wizzies

Kills quick, little/no down time but spose u have no choice if u auto and as few deaths as possible.

If the mez fails and they're after the mezer one of the Clerics casts a small heal on the Sorc or Minst getting the Agro on them. Mezer should then have enough time to mez b4 Cleric goes down.

<sighs> When will people realise it aint down to class, it aint always down to levels, its down to how they are played and whether the person behind the character knows how to make the most of the skills they have in a given situation. This is why people all have different experiences of what classes "work" in a group - its actually the person, not the class that makes it work...

A note on what a scout can and cannot do:

a) With bow, we do damage comparable to a polearmsman
b) We take very little aggro
c) We die as fast as an infil (almost)
d) We have nothing to offer groups but damage - no aggro handling, no cc etc etc.

I did lyonesse for a few days, then gave up - 'we dont need a scout'.
Then i soloed 46-50 at angry bwcas north of excalibur.

Hows this for a non-ideal group that worked very well on trees.

2 tanks (armsman/paladin)
3 infiltrators (yeah - 3)
1 sorc
1 theurg
1 cleric

Fast kills, great xp, virtually no downtime and for once happy infiltrators ;)

I think we must have had most of the 45-49 infiltrators on the server in that group over the 6-ish hours I was there.
