Idea to replace relic bonus's

What if in frontiers they changed the +10/20% magic and strength and spread it out over the enemy keeps so the more keeps your realm owns the harder you hit better your magic was, this would obviously add another elemt in rvr with much more keep taking and not the usual rush to get into DF after one keep is taken. make the keeps more upgradable with a choice of special guards (costing bounty points)
keep relics in some form with a new bonus of some sorts not sure what though, or even remove them all together.

It would be very hard for a realm to maintain bonuses consistantly, so their would be no more desire for keep takes than there is now. Doesn't have a chance of happening, anyway.

What you're talking about already exists, it's called "conquer bonus". But yes, it could use a raise.

really really good idea and totally agree.
or maybe giv difrent keeps difrent abilties, so some of them got + dmg, other +range and last + speed?
and for melee, +dmg cap, +speed cap and +unstyle dmg!!
and then the str relics got piercing to melee and the power got piercing to magic and heals will have chance to crit more often??

well, it would sure beat the boring fotm fg vs fotm fg same old fights and bring more of the fun classes into main stream rvr, anyway its just an idea

I'm afraid like existing relic raids, population will win, they need to decipher another method to distribute these bonus that won't be partial to which realm has the most pixel meat on a server.


I think there are going to be loads of interesting changes in frontiers, like flag carrying, but the bonus will be the crux imo of whether it succeeds or fails.

Like Nol says, there are big changes to RvR incoming with New Frontiers. Let's wait and see. :)

Frontiers Teleporting system looks nice, all realms will want to have their keeps to be able to teleport where they want. all fights is going to take place where the enemy keeps is closest to your as they will teleport there

Remove relics (no more alarm clock raids/zerg raids so less whine etc) and do what planetside does where the realms get a bonus depending on there active member count? Could have it like counting the ammount of 45+ perhaps that are active, and the realm with less gets bonuses etc.. this way new players might go towards the empty realms and it balances them out... lotsa problems with it such as albs got high population = they are weaker = they would zerg more i guess ;)

Yup I thought planetside was crap but that one idea of balancing did seem to help a lot :)

:eek7: Is it possible for them to zerg more?

Seriously tho, good idea, maybe have it update every hour or so, giving a small percentage increase in rps/dmg/something to the lower populated realms at that time...

nice idea if you are a roleplayer.. but keep takes = bore
