ICS and network

I have two computers connected by crossover.
I wanna get the internet working on the other computer. I set the gateway as the the ip of this computer, I set the dns servers, I checked the ICS box but it still doesnt work

Any ideas?

If you're using two NIC's (one for internet, one for LAN) then remember that you have different IP's for each NIC.

Make sure that the gateway is set up for the IP of the NIC that the second computer is connected to.

Another thing, on the second computer, try using the above IP as the DNS server IP.

Muhh, I got it working
I checked some box in the TCP/IP settings, summat about filtering, and its all jiggy now. I don't remember unchecking them but bleh.
