Hi all,

First off, thanks to all the alb's that were hanging around the bridge last night - was great fun fighting you all there for about 3 hours.

Unfortunately i dont have my victim list here, so /bow to all those i killed. Ive decided that i like my bow, the number of one shot kills i got against blues and yellows was sweet.

Also - thanks for ignoring me for about 10 minutes while i was stood on the side of the bridge sticking arrows into anyone that was visible - i think i picked up about 8 - 10 kills before someone spotted me, then spent ages trying to get onto the edge where i was.

Oh and dammit alb's take you time running across the bridge next time we have a bout of LD's. I went LD with us lot controlling the bridge, logged back in about 2 mins later to find myself stood in the middle of a group of alb's, needless to say i died pretty damn fast.

Anyhow, ive still got pleanty of RP's to earn in thidranki so ill be seeing you all around again.

And hellsvip, your on my death list. Im coming to get you.

Unforunately death is a minor side effect of my excursions into thidranki.

Incidently hello to the alb army i was about charge last night when you were trying to retake the fort. I was lining up a nice shot on your casters when some sod stealthed up behind me - though i almost had you - damn you and your poisions whoever it was .

Incidently Hi to the Middies who camped our PK, I think there were two or three of you that thought you were safe from my arrows. After dying i came back with a nice quiver of FFB arrows and proceeded to take out 3 or 4 of you without your archer chappy getting me into his range. Nice running fights were had then as well. Great fun.

Anyhow - cya all later on i expect in thidranki again (im there till i cant log in no more).

Yesterday was superb, I think that we did spot you earlier IF this was indeed during our keep re-take... but the thing is that we didn't quite care about a few archers (other being Fafne). We had 6 infiltrators if I remember correctly and surely we could've sent them upon you but they were busy scouting and were told not to engage with enemies.
Great fun.
You weren't in Thidranki today were you and shot a friar named Lother under the hib bridge with a couple of friends? If so, I was trying to sneak up on one since at first he seemed to be alone.

Damn you Lother, damn you and your stealthy mates . I had you - you were a sitting duck in the water, when your kobold mate snuck up on me and poisioned me - id have had him as well, one more hit would have done it i think . Next time, next time.

Incidently, Hi Molly. Bloomin following me like that for ages, couldnt see you, blowing kisses and waving at me for about 10 mins, i was starting to believe you were one of us until you appeared for me. Thanks for leaving me, ill return the favour one day. See sheepy never forgets an ally.

Again, nice meeting all those albs and middies last night in battle, i think i clocked up another 8 or 9 kills. Cant remember names - the stuff was scrolling past way too fast.

Anyhow - Lother, revenge will be mine .

Urgh... me alb, not have kobold friends (sounded like a troll in Albion disguise, eh).
Killed that Kobold who had low health but didn't even bother try search for you, since finding and especially catching archers is a bitch at times.
If I ever catch you from close up you are one seriously dead ranger. How was it close when you took half, hehehe... 2xx damage.

You'd have been searching for a while - i think that was the point at which i released and called it a night .

Hi to all the middies that were camping the PK as well - cant remember if it was last night or the night before. Thought you were all out of range eh?. I had some nice X-Long range arrows and could still hit you, as opposed to your hunter chap who appeared to only have medium range arrows. Thanks for sitting there as well looking around yourselves while i was shooting you. Very kind.

Next time a ranger has got the X-Long arrows, X-Heavy Damage, improved accuracy FFB arrows running away a lot further than 2 paces might be an idea, or charging me with 2 or 3 tanks, i might drop one of them before meelee, but i cant drop 2 or 3 that fast.

Anyhow, the boss just walked in and hes not been in a good mood this last few days so im going to dissappear .

in meelee we are not brilliant.

In fact we are c**p.

A Rangers job is destroy the enemy at long range before he gets change to use his sword on us.

With styles and decent armour / weapons it does change things slightly, but its still pretty hard going.

Against casters in meelee, goodnight caster . Against other archer classes it really depends on how they are specced, against tanks i just sit down and start making my grave.

But like I say a ranger is a long range fighter - drop casters in one shot, drop other archers in a couple of shots (this comes down to who has the fastest bow normally), against tanks we haveto hit with every arrow we fire (usually 7 or 8 if they run right at us), and it still will come to meelee if they are pure tanks. if that happens and we managed to get them low on health with the arrows then we might drop them, otherwise we need support really to take on a serious meelee class.

Hmmm... BEFORE the middies took the bloody relics I would hit for 350 on a crit (which by the way I do in RvR because my stealth is high enough to keep me stealthed whilst I crit) and then 150 all arrows after that. I find even the purest of tanks (ie troll bezerkers) fall in 4 arrows...

Berzerker is the purest of tanks? They wear studded armor and cant spec in shield. Of course they have trouble with archers.

So true, berserkers go down quick. "Truest" tank in mid is a dwarf warrior which gets the most hp in mid. Sadly they can only wear chain and go down fast against evil spears and polearms

hunters have shorter range with the same type of arrows then rangers.. also firing from higher ground gives u longer range

and i doubt that u can fire 7-8 arrows at someone running right at u before hes in melee (assuming hes not dead ofcourse)... u will only be able to shot like half of that..

Nice one sheepy, makes a nice change from me turning u hibs into pin cushions. Incidentally as I havent been for 2 days , who are the current holders of Thidranki as ive got 3 charatcers logged off in there , dont want a nasty shock when i log on.

Hi all again,

I have two bows that I use. One is a fast bow but lowish damage that i use against casters. The other bow is slower and deals out a lot more damage for use against tanks.

With my fast bow and FFB arrows i can have the 2nd arrow in the air before the first one hits home at max range. Therefore by the time the enemy has worked out where i am two arrows have hit him and the 3rd one is in the air, they then start running at me and i just keep sticking arrows in the air at them until they either fall down dead, or reach me and i have to get my cocktail sticks out and die.

Anyhow, ive now levelled up and will no longer be in Thidranki until my magician is of a high enough level. Instead Sheepy is terrorising the middle BG (sorry cant spell its name) by bungee jumping out of the fort on the keep lords floor to the ground outside, could everyone hurry up and join me there, there never appears to be anyone around .
