The Autumn i-series LAN event is fast approaching, with but 10 days remining until many hundreds of gamers will descend upon Newbury Racecourse for 3 days of hardcore LAN gaming! Nearly 400 gamers are already confirmed as attending i18, and with the mad rush on for places the final number is likely to be in excess of 700!
Play just about any game you can think of on our fully switched 100 Mbit network, or maybe join up with a team from the event and foray onto the Internet over the "phat pipe" 100 Mbps internet connection provided by BT. This pipe also enables you to keep in touch from the event with email, web, IRC and instant messenger access. Our previous events have been massive hits with i15 in March seeing over 1,100 gamers bring their PCs to take part!
Prize winning tournaments for CS, MOHAA, BF1942, TFC, UT/UT2k3, and Command and Conquer Generals are currently planned, where you can win up to £200 cash. We also run other tourneys and organised mass games at the event in response to customer demand. Current ideas include mass outings into PlanetSide, huge games of Savage, and tourneys for Call of Duty, Halo, Day of Defeat and Natural Selection.
We have more of the popular social events planned for i18 with an indian night on the social floor on Friday night, and the bar quiz sponsored by ABit on the Saturday night where you can win some of the latest motherboards and graphics cards. No doubt big screen console gaming, DDR, gaming video shows and other frivolity will be common place on the 2nd floor, which is dedicated to the social area and bar.
