All you techies out there I am absolutely desperate. I have deleted an e mail address on both laptop and i phone as my friend has changed jobs and is using a new e mail address. Simple you might think. But laptop and i phone are linking back to the old address. So I'm getting mail undelivered notices from the original company. A server I presume.
I've tried every which way to do it. Typing in the full e mail address or getting it out of contacts it still happens. Even when I reply to an e mail from the new address it still links me back to the old one.

Cannot find the old address stored anywhere to do anything else with it. Can't find anything like it when I google it.

Earlier I had a mail returned notice from the old address and yet I know the e mail arrived at the new address...because I had a reply, but when i answered I had it bounced back again. bizarre or what.

And before you ask this is my only means of contact I cannot phone, don't have the number.

If you are typing the full NEW email address every time and it is still bouncing back I would assume it is nothing you are doing wrong. Prove this by using another email account and sending a test. If you get the same bounce back again then it is the other side. I do not know why but they may have a Auto Forward set on the NEW address to send it to the OLD address. If the NEW address is a personal email they may have set it to forward to the OLD work address to keep all the emails in one place. If that is the case you will get the bounce back on every message regardless of where you send it.

If it does not happen from another address then it is more interesting.

Only way to be 100% sure is try it from another address like a Hotmail or Gmail style account. If the same happens there it is not your phone.

My account is Hotmail. Have just used a new yahoo account on laptop and got the same bounce back linked to old e mail address no mention of the new one. Does that mean it's not me? yahoo cannot have got the old details off my Hotmail can it? apologies for being so clueless.

Yes it's not you. They are forwarding the mail to their old address. They are getting your email to the new address, so just ignore it.

For the 3rd or 4th time my phone has wiped all my contacts. Worked out how to restore them off the laptop but it wiped all my recent texts and photos! WHY? Now trying to use I cloud. Will that help?

If you have a recent backup then yes. If you have never turned on iCloud backups then no.

I am hoping I have now backed up to I cloud so if it happens again I can just retrieve my contacts?

My i phone5s autolock is not working. It doesn't lock. Locks when I switch it on and off, but I don't usually do that. Closing all the apps does not help. Can I lock it manually? If anyone accesses my phone I am soooooo dead. I need help. Geniuses out there (@Deebs ) any ideas?

I changed mine to 1 minute because I found the following would happen.
Me: sends text. Presses power button to turn screen off.
*30-40 seconds pass*
Get a reply to my text
*unlock phone*
Read/reply etc

I found if I left it a minute it was less messing about :)

Is yours still not locking itself?
