Hi all,

Well, this is the last straw im gonne crasp before doing a complete reinstalling of windows XP, im hoping you guys can help me prefent this.

The things is this.. since about a week now. i keep getting a Javascript pop-up. and i cannot block/deleted or even find it anywhere. when i do a backwards link this is what it says:
*copy/paste
link:javascript:"<HEAD><TITLE> </TITLE></HEAD><BODY%20LEFTMARGIN=0%20TOPMARGIN=0%20MARGINHEIGHT=0%20MARGINWIDTH=0><a%20href=http://servedby.advertising.com/click/site=0000118807/mnum=0000168926/genr=1/tkdt=B0P6R1T0/bnum=5953286%20target=_blank><img%20src=http://cdn2.adsdk.com/CDN/65043/BAC9274a_720x300.gif%20border=0%20alt='Click%20to%20learn%20more...'></a></BODY>"

normaly i would just copy this whole line into my internet restrictions. but that doesnt work.
any one of you guys have any idears on howto remove this?
I already installed the Googletoolbar that does do the trick either..

second problem:

every 5 min, i keep getting a pop-up that asks me to log in to this site:

anubi5.europe.webmatrixhosting.net

I have no clue what site this is. and copy/past in the url bar. doesnt do anything, placing it under internetrestrictions doesnt do anything either

This is very anoying cos itmakes me unable to play any game. cos i keep going back to the desktop

i installed ad-aware. scanned for spyware. found alot of spyware files all removed those.

i ran Norton anti virus no virusses found.

i tried looking for it in reg-edit. cant find anything

please help me

thanks in advance for your time

Maybe try an alternative browser? I dunno if this would help, but lots of bad things are made for Internet Explorer :(

Have you got the latest Windows XP patches, a lot of the spyware takes advantages of "holes" that need to be fixed, otherwise they just keep coming back.

Also remove any "toolbars" and other plug-ins for IE, often spyware checkers do not determine those as spyware even though they have the same effect.

Do you have a firewall? You need to add anything webmatrix to it :)
I would second Firefox... has problems with sites that aren't optimised for all browsers but if I have to (NATWEST) then I've always got IE.

Natwest are gimps when it comes to online banking.
