Coming home from work on my bike (fixed, i.e. no gears, no freewheel) with a strong tailwind, I managed to hit 37mph. On a long flat straight. Overtaking cars, legs going like a nutter.

So awesome, it more than makes up for the headwind on the way to work. I'm grinning from ear to ear with the rush, I just had to share. :)

I did, but my bike is mostly aluminium and carbon fibre, so no joy.

it's true it's true! in fact there are even better pics than that one! in fact, if it's the same duck the whole time, Trem will be well jealous that the duck won't get it's license pulled ;)

Will, you have to be a mentalist to be enjoying this weather. I haven't been able to get out on the bike for weeks :(

Agreed.

I will be banned at the end of May it looks like, got 2 hearings (or diets as they are called in Scotland) and I have to go both of them. So very fucking annoying.

Likely to be a 3 month ban. At least it will be summer so I can use my bike.

Just want it over with now, the most annoying thing is the 2 trips to Scotland, the second being by another means of transport than driving myself :(

Three months? Is it a second offence? I got 28 days for doing 117 in a 70 (and I had a 103 in a 70 on my licence from 3 years earlier that I didn't get banned for). Put your best suit on, throw yourself on the mercy of the court and hope the magistrate's not a cnut.

I wasn't driving badly, I was speeding and I was caught by the biggest scammers in the land, a camera van sat on a bridge on a toally empty motorway on a sunny dry day. Thanks for your input though :/

Scotland chum, thats the problem, this country it would be much shorter, they will suggest a 6 month ban but give a 3 month one. Lets hope their evidence is sound because I have pleaded not guilty and am paying for an expert to look at the video/photo that they have. I still swear I wasn't going that fast (107mph) and so does Samm.

My licence only has 3 points on it and won't it have a disqualification on it when I get it back?

Already got a pushbike luv, just ain't used it much in 2006, I love riding.

I guess I am a mentalist. I commute into work by bike every day, no matter what the weather is like. Also, its the best way ever to wake up in the morning, powering downhill on a fix. :D

Edinburgh is very consistant with its wind direction. That has happened only once to me in the last year or so.

haggis is rank :( I had some with neeps, and it was like eating spicy mush.

Will told me about fried haggis for brekky, which, though vile, seems infinitly better than it's boiled cousin :/
