Figures in darker colour normally represent men so nope.

However in this instance, both figures are men.

They are "fighting" the bull apparently.

Doing a classical art course for extra credits this semester. Its like fucking WAT.

I was watching a program on Iplayer last night about depictions of Jesus. Before people in the Dark ages fabricated most of the bible he was pictured as a jolly looking young man who walked around casting spells with a wand. Pretty funny stuff.

If you look at Greek art, you can see the beginning's of the Christian fable. Virgin births, winged beings (angels).

Yeah they do that a lot in Greek and Italian art, many sculptures even seem non specific in gender. And in a few instances are actually hermaphrodites.

He was Merlin? or gandalf?

Hmm...we shall form a new religion...the religion of Mithrandir!
