I just wondered

Hi!

I have a hard time lvling my mentalist now current lvl is 27. So i wondered where is the spaces to get grp as lvl 27 and i have specced mostly light.

Will i have a hard time getting grp or will it be easy since i can heal CC and nuke even power regen.

My final spec will be 45 light 29 mana and 6 mentalism. is that a good or bad spec?

Is a pretty standard, decent enough spec, although most groups you'll find are pretty selfish with who they invite, being mostly only mana specced mentalists or manachanters which is a bit stupid really.
If you want to solo a good place to look would be out in the frontiers now to fight the ants, squabblers and things like that, however you'll find yourself victim to a few enemies who feel it necessary to kill anyone who they see, even if only grey con to them and no real threat. Alternatives would be to do dampwood mites at innis carthaig or other mobs around the entrance to the bog of cullen. Groups in Treibh Caillite dungeon are also good xp at this level, this is also near innis although quite dangerous to get to if you don't know the route (it's near Culraid, can't remember the direction... south I think).

Heh, I didnt want to kill that grey con chanter! I was just wondering if he got his bt up or not... he didn't.

Well, Iunzanza got me later thou. I was just about to suicide when that silly Elf came running outa Ligen. Of course SHE had her bt up! (She's a mentalist btw.) If I only have had a faster bow... even resisted that qc stun.

I was rezz sick (nuking for 250 damage should tell that)
You resisted my lvl 6 mezz, not wasting stun so early into a fight.
Iunzanza was a new version...

Moral lesson; Always have BT and shields up when hunting invaders and mobs in the frontier.

45 light 29 mana and 6 ment is a doable specc, don't rely on the mezz though, it is resisted like hell and the 29 AE dot will give you 1-2 resist per 6 albs/mids.

and btw if you are a critblade the blow will certanly penetrate the bt.

but a shadowzerk wil not penetrate

i will try to get it to 14 mana before lvl 30 so i will have the second best power regen. then continue on my light

I've got L17 Ment atm. Light/Mana Spec

And all I can say is wow!
It's true that the 'only' group spec is Mana/then another line sometime later.

That's coz lots of ppl 'expect' Ment = POW regen. But that's just silly, why 'gimp' your playstyle just to suit others?

I find my spec is perfect, at least at my level, I can mezz red cons with ease, heal, nuke and charm. For me, it's much more fun than an uber! POW regen and crappy nukes.

Groups 'expect' certain things, if it's ok with you, play and 'exploit' the L20 and L40 respecs to be more group friendly - otherwise spec so u can both group and solo. For me, (4th attempt at a Ment) Light spec is a must.
