I just received an email with a .rtf attachment. I did a scan and it seems to be ok, however I wanted to know if I could trace where the email came from. What site could do this?
Well if you do a google search for 'tracing an email' lots of solutions come up. All boils down to being able to eventually get the ip address of that person or company. Once you have the ip address of the sender you can use a tool to find out more about the ip address. 2 such tools are these:
I was browsing and all the sites i found said "oh yeah, we can do this no probs, but you have to install this program and then sign up to this that and the other"
yeah, you do not need satellites or any of that fancy shite, just pm dams and she will sniff the sender out, publisyh his name address and house number bank details and sexual preference for a certain animals*
Assuming they were amateurs spammers, just looking at the headers would do. If they knew what they were doing, you'd need access to the servers it went via.
