I am regretting i gave up on this game, it had the right blend of alrightish graphics, good gameplay, and of course, the most kickass PK system that ever existed...:sex:

So now i am coming back into the fray, however, i am very unsure of my role in combat, to tell the truth, i have never taken part in any form of PK willingly....:fluffle:

I worry about dying, because i feel that when i screw up at something, the world laughs at my failure (although this is occuring less often now) and as such, i feel downhearted........but i dont want to WTFPWN everything in sight either, i reckon if you want to be powerful, you have to earn that very right. ;)

Also, has anything changed while i was away? (it was the eriod when DR just only came to the US servers) maybe that will help me decide my role in combat.

i havent played many magic classes, becase i feel i often die too easily with them.....as such im more opt for the up close and personal types. but i can change if wanted.

please do help me find my role in combat, so i can get rid of this carebearness that hangs around me, and thanks in advance. :)

Well i don't know who you are, because i've only played for about 2 years. If you're looking for an realm you're very welcome to albion and any of the guilds listed in my sig.

but sderver choice is harsh also, should i keep on the regular server with al osrts of buffbots and artiufact stuff, or should i roll onto classic in which to prepare for the endgame, i will have to farm ( i repeat, FARM) darkspire for godless ammount of times?

well either way im till gonna get the DR stuff :)

Well an bb isn't an necesity on the non-classic server but it easens things up. You can farm very well with an sight necro on albion unbotted and earn good amounts of money. With the upcoming patches less arti farming will be needed as you only will need ancounter and scrolls. In fact you might have to farm some pretty good and hard obtained items on non-classic too. The amount of DS raids on classic there are shouldn't make it too hard to get those great items.

If you want an much more group friendly and fair RvR climate i would suggest you go classic tho. Both Srevers are very zergy in RvR depending on area.

So the pros and cons with classic is imo
+ Higher groupability
+ Easy to find groups
+ RvR easier due to that there are no bbs

- Some classes has majort advantage in classic over the others.

Pros and cons with non-classic
+RvR can be more exiting with Arti abilities and ml abilities.
+Can make good templates with easily obtained items

-Running unbuffed in RvR can be an pain.

theese are just my opinions. In my oipnion you should try both and choose wich you like best.

no Buffbots are always a good thing, mening i dont need something strapped on my arse to even have a chance in RvR competition, yet i havent experienced any of the ToA stuff, meaning i dont know how bad the supposed grind is....

that and i havent been onto classic......meh, anyways.....

what are the changes from darkness rising being introduced? such as valewalkers dont suck anymore? or something else?

The 'grind' from TOA isn't what is was, and will be less still in a week or so.

Personally, I'd not be able to play 'classic' as my main server. Camelot with most of the high end content removed and balanced according to a different ruleset? No thanks.

Many would disagree with that view, though.

true enough, seeing the game with some pretty alright high end content removed is teh suck (i like my encounters big and brown pantsing)

though this will mean 90% of the population will have a buffbot strapped to their rear end, meaning some of us who want to play fairly will be screwed over by the WTFPWN types who only think about how big their ego is.

but in regular servers, people will only take certain classes, because they onlywant to WTFPWN, rather than try some new things out (nothing works better than giving ther enemy the brown pants moment from a surprising new tactic XD)

another thing i fear about regular servers is that you need to be ABSOLUTELY top tiered to even think about frontier RvR, its like DBZ for christ's sake. :eek7: i want to participate in a actual battle, not some big ass goku wannabe on goku wannabe wussfest with buffbots on a leash.

okay...rant over. :D

Buffbots are more for those people who like to solo in my experience.

I've not got one (well, sort of have - I often play 2 accounts - but my buffbot is level 20 <grin> - I more usually play on one and craft on the other), and don't see it as necessary.

In the frontier, the chances are 1 or 2 people in the group will have a buffbot, and that's all you need. Any more would be a waste.

My take on the top level RvR is that Realm rank is more important than MLs/Artifacts. I'll be well behind the curve on both servers (There's a RR10 on Glastonbury already!), but on TOA I can get some artifacts and MLs that'll help a bit occasionally. I'll never be a FG vs FG regular, so will be doing keep taking/defending more often. For these I find what you do makes more difference than having a tweaked, perfect template / abilities. In both servers you'll get a % of people who only go out in 'perfect' groups, and others who are more relaxed.
