Out of the choices I'd go for Fry, no question, anyone else and I'll never watch it again, but can we have some choices for alternative team captains too please?

Surely the point of the show is to be funny, not to examine the latest news? I agree that they took it too far, but it was funny to a point...

I suspect the reasons why will become apparent soon.

I have no doubt that a rather big lawsuit will be forthcoming, if Deayton was still a presenter it could be taken as a conflict of interest. Also, any defamatories that entail you losing your job tend to up the award given to you as "lost earnings", so I'd think the "sacking" was more of an agreement between him and the employer.

The host is meant to be the counterpoint to the two team captains humour, not an addition to it. Anderson would ruin the show, so my vote goes for Fry. He's subtle enough to take over quite nicely.

The problem with Fry is that Deayton's humour came from him being the "straight guy". Personally, I think Fry is, if anything, too funny for the part.
