I think its mainly just to make it easier to PM and see who is online from the home page - I quite like that as it means if you want to PM anyone you can just go to the home page and click the 'pm' thing next to thier name, rather than having to search for a post made by them.

Apart from that I'm not sure what else you get from it hopefully it involves huges amounts of bacon! and ninjas! BACON NINJAS! that would be frickken' awesome!

Pikey you are such a noob. Did you honestly search for a post by someone to send them a PM. There is this magical thing you can do called typing in someones user name in the reciepient field.
