Can't the 29th come around already? Anyone got any ideas for what might be coming? ;o I'm guessing it's going to include the domination system they've been talking about. No more stalemate because the other side decides they don't want to play anymore. But surely when they introduce this kind of thing they should be bringing in a variable in difficulty for larger numbers, otherwise it's going to be a cake-walk for the overpopulated side.

I do hope it's the CC toning down patch ... but i'll bet my 2 cents on:
A) WEs = some sort of nerf
B) Tanks balance (maybe a bone to SMs and BOs will take a hit)

A WE nerf would be funny
Just to see the QQnewb, L2P and it's a group game posters on WHA struggle to make sense of it all :)

given what keen and graev got (and what the greenskin got) in the mail it'll be the announcement of the slayer and the choppa.

When they're going to be in game I dunno...

I'd not expect anything else in with that announcement, but who knows :)

Extracted from : VN Boards - 34 Days since our last real patch

MJ
"I have already said that are we working on:

1) Lots and lots of bug fixes

2) Lots of balance changes to careers

3) Lots of new content

All of this will be announced next week once the schedule is confirmed. I've also said, from the beginning, that this announcement will come out at the end of the month. We've pretty much got four major *realistic* choices with this sort of stuff:

1) Don't say anything until just before the patch is ready to go - If the time between major patches is lengthy, this results in lots of "Mythic is lazy, slow, doesn't talk to its players, etc." posts. When the patch contents are released, players respond with both joy ("Lots of new stuff!!!") and fear ("You are doing WHAT to my career?!?!).

2) Announce everything that is going on but don't announce a schedule - This results in "Mythic is teasing us, they'll never put this stuff in, they are just trying to get us to RESUB!!!!,etc." Players also respond with joy and fear.

3) Give players a teaser/pre-announcement saying that a lot of stuff is coming and within the time we lay out, post all the information. This results in a very mixed bag of positive posts and negative posts as well as with joy and fear and then as we get closer to the announcement some "Mythic doesn't communicate, is slow, etc!" posts.

4) Announce big picture stuff but leave out all the details and the "small stuff" out of the announcement. Players respond with joy and fear with lots of "But what about Bob?" posts.

As usual, what's amusing about stuff like this is that there have been lots of posts for WAR (as well as every other MMO that has ever launched including WoW) where some people say "OMG, why did you release the patch now? Why didn't you wait till XXXX to finish XXX. Spend more time please!" at the same time other people say "OMG, why are you taking so long to do XXXX?" That's always been the case and always will be.

We're gearing everything up for the 29th, there's a ton of stuff to cover and we're going to do it right. If that means it takes a little longer, that's the best path for both the players and the game in the long-term.

FYI, we're rolling the patch notes to our internal core test server for discussion in a few minutes and the patch itself should be deployed there the first week in February.

Squig Herder
Bug Fixes
-Indigestion: Fixed a bug that caused this ability to use Intelligence instead of Strength in damage calculations.
-Sticky Squigz: This ability now costs the correct amount of Action Points to use.
-Big Bouncin: This ability will now behave correctly when interrupted.
-Run Away!: The cost has been lowered. The knock forward has been changed to a movement speed increase effect.
-'Ere Squiggy!: Fixed a bug that prevented the tactic from firing on damage abilities.
-Lots o' Arrers: The animation will no longer continue after the Squig Herder runs out of AP.
Balance Changes
-Tastes like Chicken will now heal for slightly more, and no longer lose value based on the health of the pet.
-Squig Armor no longer has a build and a reduced reuse time

If these are for real, then its all good tbfh! /edit apart from the Run Away nerf :>
