These are just numbers of download Aloca...still doenst say anything.
I could download the client 100 times by myself, statistics like this dont tell anything about the usage of radar on any server if u ask me.

Not saying no one uses it, but these are just numbers, nothing more

Offcourse groups get jumped once in a while, but 99,99% of the time you could have seen it comming if people was panning.
Tell me how someone can jump your group, when you have a good group and have someone watch your back for the whole run, that person has to go afk to miss incomming right?

Or are we talking about the casual groups who arent used to playing alot together and just are out for a fun run? Cause that would be a different kind of story if you ask me

well tbh i was running with random grps a lill bit on mah pwnzor warrior, and as soon as they were mezzed from any direction, not being head on they started spamming omfg radar radar whors hib s radar jajaj etc, i could blatently see it werent radar, so i kidna feel that some ppl blow it out of proportion maybe, but then again i never had a thealther pov of grp leads from all 3 realsm either

For the love of god, isn't it obvious? It doesnt' matter how the group who's being hit reacts. What matters is that certain groups (magically) always manage to hit other groups from behind. No matter where they are, thay ALWAYS manage to approach from the 1 degree that allows them the maximum chance of a win, not the 359 degrees that would reduce this chance.

It's not about seeing it coming. Any decent group looks behind them. But when certain groups always hit you behind, you tend to think they're cheating mo fos.

No its not obvious. Its obvious that the casual RvR player is looking for a constant excuse to use when they get f*cked up in RvR.
Its about ruining the game for those certain groups who just play better(read more) then you. Its about drivers who know what/when shit will hit the fan.
I got jumped by random groups, i got jumped by set groups. And i hardly supsected any of those groups that they might have used some 3rd party tool (ie radar).

Stealthers, ventrilo, chatgroups, bg's....so much tools to use to get your info.
And dont forget a little bit of luck is needed to manage to "get behind a group" nd jump them

This whole radar issue is a lame excuse for those who cannot compete versus the strong/fotm rvr groups.

Now I'd agree - people shout "radar" far more often than is at all necessary or probable, but it's out there till next patch, not that bitching about it will help things (on the contrary it'll just make more people think "oh everyone else is using it I'll use it too")

On the "won't be any bannings" - do you really think that all the people stupid enough that they have to use radar to win will think to uninstall it.

I imagine the majority will escape by uninstalling (good enough for me, though it'd be nice to see them all nailed to a pole by their scrotum) but there'll be some caught no doubt.

erm RightNow don't ask you to collect evidence since that's gonna be biased and tainted - they have to collect it themselve which is a long and tedious process hence it's not very often you hear about someone being banned for radar. They can't just point at someone and cast "detect radar" (level 60 GM spec spell). (well not till next patch)

Well - when I played Shadowblade and even sometimes (but much less so) as a skald I was quite adapt at avoiding FG+ incommings when I ran around solo.
For instance, observing your PC you can often hear, see, feel when it starts loading "out of place" which many times can mean incomming.

While I do agree that there likely are a number of radar abusers as well as all other kind of cheat and/or bug abusers - a lot of time things can and likely are explained by natural things.
However - I would have loved if GOA would "Name and Shame" when they banned, because of the added "punishment".
Something like:
Account with characters NameA, NameB, NameC has been banned for abusing radar.
Account with characters NameD, NameE, NameF has been banned for <insert random cheat/bug here>

As for sending "evidence"/requests to RightAboutNever might not do much - but it will still do more then somebody posting here about their (unprooveable) suspecion that somebody else is cheating.
If your suspecion is correct, the cheater will continue cheating - no gain.
If your suspecion is wrong, the person has recived a dent in reputation - thus a negative gain.

simply have a staff play a char without skin (invisible unless u use radar) and see who tries to get him for example.
im no computer genius, but there must be something that could be done to catch them, if there is no way to catch them i'd suggest we all DL a radar and completely destroy the fun for everyone until they do something about it.
