now wow again, but i'm having problems and i've just xferred characters and i cant play. it's taken a week for blizzard to e-mail something i'd already figured out about a character transfer so i've not got my hopes up and will just have to accept i've wasted cash xferring chars as well as opening my account.

Missionary Mary - Friar, I had this early on but only got to 50 late on
Flisk Frisky - Heretic, one of the most fun pve classes I've ever played. Owning purples solo with 75% health left never felt so good. Shame it was on the pvp server coz it sucked in pvp
Rumplestiltskin - Nightshade, on classic... was good while it lasted
Docwolfe - Druid, my last ever 50 character and it was on classic... and my first ever full healer.

First started in beta, made a friar was a good crack so I though I would play daoc when it went live. Being an armsman was hard though, after pygmy gobbos it got really slow and hard to get a group so I gave up and made a scout. Scout was loads of fun to play, was really slow and trying at times... I must have spent days standing around lyonesse trying to get a gobbo group while everyone else was way way ahead of me. Had some help from my good pal cHo though and finally got to 50. I dinged killing bwgylls in Sauvage on my own, what fun. Had some shite spellcrafted around made (awesome at the time).

I stopped playing for a year and a half while I went to uni in the first year, was just before toa came out, gave up the internet in that time pretty much too. Was good for me.

Came back, everyone else was way ahead of me, I had shit armour compared to what toa brought... I was in the TLW and they kinda dissolved so I had no one to help me out to get artis and MLs and crap, and every arsehole and his monkey had a buff bot. So I started leveling my old friar... got her to 50 but it was the same old story... loads of people had left and it just wasn't the same.

Started playing PvP server, made a nightshade... got her to 49, gave up because I got contstantly raped by 50's with about 20 more RRs and more artis than me so I had no chance. Catacombs came along and made a heretic, was fun for a while... but when I got to 50 was just as useless.

Managed to convince cHo to come and play on classic with me, and we kinda got some of the LoE people involved and started from scratch... didn't quite work out though and we fell apart, pleople kept leaving and such. Was to be expected when alot of people had been playing for 4/5 years by this point and were getting kind of tired.

I basically stopped playing because I got bored, and if you start from scratch as a newbie you're basically gimped, your out of the circle and everyone else has so much more experience and you wont get into a decent rvr group or a decent guild because your not good enough etc.

There you go a brief history of my daoc years.

EDIT: Oh yeah, at one point I made a mentalist and cHo made a eldritch and we owned big time. Got to 50 in about 3 weeks, ML8 etc. some artis. BG were the most fun but as soon as we hit big boy rvr it was shite and we just got ganked so we gave up.

Then made a cleric known as Subedai where i got to RR8 playing mainly in New Order

Rolled Midgard with my then guild and made a berserker known as Korgon where i got to RR10, played in PV,Valravens and finally Groove, where he is lerking in current inactivity.

Rolled hib classic on us and made a bard known as Korgon, sold it for 300 dollars after 1 month.

Rolled Eu classic and made a champ known as Korgon. got rr6 then quit also often played Caletha the bard.

Camp back for about 2 months and played a merc known as Vypre in a setgrp, then we quit due to rl.

Started in Beta played Midgard and hated the game.

Came back to the game 2/3 months after release to Albion. Played Cleric and Scout to 50 at first. Stuck with the scout in RvR to rr6. But when NF hit I never played it again. Got some other chars to 50 and rr5+ but nothing much, felt like I was always pve'ing to prepare for RvR but then when it was RvR time the group I was preparing for wasn't ready yet or had disbanded already etc. Had some very short lived fun on US servers, emphasis on SHORT LIVED. Then went Midgard where I got Pirkel my shaman and in the end my favorite character to rr6 as well before real life finally won out over Dark Age.

Only regret is that I never really pushed through RvR wise. Like I said I was always preparing for it and helping friends prepare for it but when it was time to RvR the fun was always over soon. I kinda got to smell what running in a "setgroup" was like the short time it took me to get Pirkel to 6... (<3 Ljuva, Stopchance, Mikkeline, Tze etc) and later I actually had the chance to run with some pretty awesome groups but real life just fucked me over

Haven't logged into daoc to play for what will soon be a year... I'm still online sometimes to craft for meights though.
