I got a problem

Aiight, i know you guys are probably tired of all em people talking about their winXP problems, but, well, here i go:

I installed Windows XP Professional (full version, not BETA) edition about a month before it came out (i got connections )
After installing windowsXP i had about 3 major problems with my computer.

1) My graphics card was fucked (Nvidia GeForce 256 PURE v6800)
Tried downloading 'drivers' for it, none of em worked. every 10 minutes my computer would crash for no reason. Called Nvidia for help, they said it wasnt their problem, call ASUS they make the boards and are responsible for supplying drivers. Called the company and a representative told me to go fuck myself. The lazy-ass company still hasnt to date provided any good XP drivers for this card. What did i do? Baught an ATI Radeon 8500 (paid $400 CDN)
PROBLEM SOLVED!

2) My sound card got messed up (SB Live! X-Gamer 5.1). The surround sound on my 5-piece Altec Lansing speakers no longer worked (it only played stereo sound) rendering the 4 speakers and sub uselss. None of the sb drivers to date have fixed this problem. What did i do? Baught some Sony Studio Monitor Series DJ Headphones [MDR-V700DJ] (paid $150 USD)

3) Whenever i play CS, occasionally i get this problem. When walking around or something, the mouse and keyboard lock. I start moving/gliding one direction or another and have no control over what direction i go. The mouse and keyboard basically immobilize and i gotta wait the problem out (ustops in about 5 seconds) Usually i either got raped or fell down from a high area when it stops. Anybody got any ideas? Know of anything i can buy that will solve this problem?

I may have got a great, original copy of windowsXP for free, but hell, it has cost me a LOT of money!

Smoke or no smoke

Does this problem happen when going near a smoke grenade or all the time.I had the same problem with the smoke something to do with the my drivers and the textures got it sorted in the end but it was a strange one.

installing an operating system is highly unlikley to fuck up any physical hardware.

try formatting your hard-drive and installing another operating system (Windows2000 being the best)

That should solve it.
Also, try other operating systems or try your hardware on another computer to see if it works.

But your the CS master aren't you? Greatest of the great etc? Surely a little problem like that cant stop your rampage on the servers?

I kick ass at CS i am the best cs player you could ever see. But im not a programming expert!

Erm if you installed it one month before it's actual release then you have to put up with the fact no drivers are around...although now they are...me takes you have got the latest drivers now and done a complete reinstall?

You would be surprised mate. Windows XP is extremely fast, in comparison to any other Windows OS. As for Win98, dont even make me go there...

One of the lads from the clan had a similar problem. His was that he was always strafing from time to time. You using a MS optical mouse fella, or a MS keyboard?
If so, get the pointer4.01 software and try that.
