and no i didnt get owned, i've gotten killed sometimes, but always 2+, even though i try to stay out of the zerg as much i can.

Erm, infiltrators, also know as assasins. Thats what our job is. To sneak up and take you out. Why should we take you on unstealthed without PA?
Next you'll be asking to take on a wiz in melee.

Whoever has higher stealth wins - if u get detected first ur dead and vice verser so wtf is the point. If ur getting owned by groups of infils then get ur own group together, I reguarly see groups of SB's running about in thid. It's not nice but theres not much you can do about it.

most people know now that to be competent on thid you need on or close to 24 stealth, then it comes down to who gets the PA off first, tipping the balance in their favour.....if neither score that 1, then its melee, favouring the SB slightly.

this griping...about groups of infs, get over it, its not new.........and frankly, its easily avoidable. dont hunt on the beaten track.

avoid the bottom of mtk, the middle of mid road, the front of mb and hb, on the mb.

My hunter mack rarely ran into infs because he used his brain and took the path less travelled, i know its slightly different for a hunter than a sb (tho i have played both), try using your imagination and attacking from different places and angles. all i see at the moment (from both sides) is a stealther running back after PAing one of our casters back into his lines, and vice versa with a SB, running back into our lines across mb. how very dull, the high stealth of the assassin classes offers u so much more variety. the only people i see with a spark of imagination about playing their assassin classes on thid atm are the nightshades, they pop up in the most uncommon places. (mack's speed buff often got him out of trouble after i had recovered from my heart attack while sitting at my pc).

please guys, this is not a flame, it is an observation.....as a stealther the solution is entirely in your hands, if you dont want to fight packs of enemy stealthers, hunt where they dont hunt, and they do usually stick to pretty pre defined haunts.

before u flame me back, think, i speak from experience, my shadow zerker mack the knife was pretty respected and feared on thid (or so i hear), he would hunt solo, and i would have almost as much fun sneaking round the enemy lines into a nice position, and checking my escape route was clear before fleeing into the shadows again.

a good sb is the one who kills, slips away, and doesnt die (or rarely)........often i see people PA, run back, rest up, PA, run back, rest up..................in my opinion this is really dull and unimaginative.....but its just my opinion, you are free to play as you wish.

im making a crit blade now (level 12.5 atm) so i look forward to creeping around in the lesser hunted areas of thid some time soon. see u there, ill wave you if i see you.

My infil could kill skalds...sometimes. Too much can go wrong though. I miss PA or BS2, or I don't evade, they resist posions/snare/debuff. They snare me so I can't leg it, stealth then come back and finish the job.

That said, most infils are actually dumb enough to go for skalds, but >50% end up eating dirt. If the skald knows what they're doing that is.....

Oh btw, don't make insta's think skalds are a good class, because in my eyes they are one of the worst. Three hits with my sword and they're flat out on the ground, with just 30% hp loss (average). Even Vodkafairy could solo skalds easily, and she had a gimped spec for bg.

What if the sb hasn't got PA?

but gets of a ravager > Atrhophy > Scathing blade combo?

you don't even need front postion.....

end result = one dead infil

I love dueling but I prefer to fight to the death, its only way to be sure and its hardly a long walk back now with the bind stones in portal keeps.

Most of the time with how fast/hard friars hit its hard to stop in time anyway, not to mention bleed damage.
