I crash every 5 min (usually near TNN and Catacombs)

Here is my situation after a little break and a computer crash I decided to reinstall DAOC (Darkness rising) and renew my sub.

Since the crash I've reinstalled all the software, but my hardware is the same except for more RAM memory and a second sata harddrive.

I run with

ATI Radeon powercolor x 800 xl (256) graphics card
AMD 64 Athlon processors
2 gig RAM

I've got my OS on one hard drive and all my games on the second sata hard drive.

These are the only technical changes I'm aware of.

Since the crash I've installed all the soft wares and drivers very recently and I'm not really aware of any changes but for now my anti virus program, anti spyware and fire wall are all turned on.

Does any one have a clue of what to do?

Really want to give DAOC another shot but I need to stay connected for it to be worth while.

Assuming you crash to desktop rather than your PC restarting gxf drivers would seem a likely starting point - have you updated these recently? If so try an older set.

Have your run Super-pi or Prime, to test OS stability? Also have you done a complete file check of your daoc files...
