I can't get counterstrike to work....

Hi people...... i've been playing CS for about 2 years, but I recently built a new computer. I purchased the retail version of Half-Life and installed it. I then downloaded the 85 meg full install of counterstrike. I also downloaded and installed the 2 counterstrike patches, one is 22 megs and the other 11 megs, and the 54 meg half life updates. I use gamespy to connect, and now when I try to log into a game i get an error message saying that counterstrike executable cannot be found. I mapped out the directories where CS is located, but I cannot find a counterstrike executable anywhere in the cstrike folder in half life. What the fuck is up?
How does someone start cs if there is no counterstrike executable????

Im at a loss!!!

Err if u downloaded and installed the 85meg counterstrike you should not need teh extra patches, i think you have fucked up patch wise, u need to get hl to 1.1.0.6 and Cs should be 1.1 whcih can be downloaded as a full install.
