the site said:
Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning is a feature-length sci-fi parody, seven years in the making. It is the product of a core group of five Finns, and over 300 extras, assistants and supporters. The film combines world-class visual effects, a rough-and-ready sense of humour, and a passion that provide the basis for the first-ever Finnish science fiction adventure.

for those not in the know...it's a star trek parody-esque thing :) enjoy!

Although I've not actually seen it in full yet, 2 of the guys a share a house with have.

One set of comments from our guild site are below:

Watched this with Jayce (One of the housemates) just, and all in all it was a fun experience.
You have to take some of it with a pinch of salt (such as them not wanting to mess up the timeline - leading them to royally screwing it up ). Some of the Jokes were lost on me - could be a bad translation on the subtitles. Will get my Brother in Law to confirm this tho. (The guy who wrote this, his brother-in-law is Finnish)
Some jokes were fun - i personally liked the reboot screen scene.

However, the real plus are the space battles - they are totally amazing and this should be watched for those. The guys did really well on them.

The acting is a hard one to judge - due the different language. The captain was pretty good, as was the Plingon. I couldn't tell if the others were hamming it up or not.

There are a few backshot things happening (such as a bloke killing a guy with a laser while they are in the training field), but not nearly enough.

For me, i think having it dubbed would have been better (correction - having it in english would be best ).

This is a good film to watch, and i have seen worse professional films. I would give it 6 out of 10.

There you go.... as I say, I've still to see it myself, but a friend is visiting this weekend, so we may have to get some popcorn and plonk ourselfs in front of my big fat (phat?) TV...

...don't know what Teh Seel is up to, but this project sadly enough doesn't have his stamp on it.

It's fun though :D

probably sulking about not being invited, "teh float"(tm) would have been a good feature in that movie I think :p

Watched this the other night. It is pretty funny, especially the whole Captain Jonny Sherryham or something, giving long, long speaches on Babel 13 ;)

It's very well done. The humour is...let's say, "unsophisticated", but its still funny and they've done a better job on the CGI than the shows they're riffing on.
