Hi, well i recently formatted my Amilo Li1718 Fujitsu Siemens Computer.

I lost the driver disc for it, which is a ball ache but not a fatal-fuckup.

So i install graphics, sound, mouse drivers but i can't seem to get the drivers for my intergrated WiFi.

I installed the drivers, but the buttons at the top (none) don't work, theres the Wireless button, a little 'i' (dunno what it does) and a fan which is silent mode.

NONE of these pieces of shit are working, i've tried the desk update from the Fujitsu home page but that crock of shite just stops responding.

Downloads - Support - Fujitsu Siemens Computers is where im getting it from.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

After i formatted, you'd expect my PC to be running brand new, this crock of stupid shite is so slow, it's getting me angry as hell, i can't go to the start bar without it taking 5seconds to appear. Why is this? :(

I've not done images for any recent Amilo's, only the Centrino and older models. But notwithstanding, like some of the HP models I'm guessing that's just needing extra software, not drivers to work: would it be the FSC Launch Manager?

Installed FSC Launch manager ? This should activate the function keys, as for the performance issue, don't know without more into.

Edit: man i should refresh before i post. Kryten beat me to it :)

That solved it, thanks guys.

Now the computer is still hanging like hell from time to time.

Would the newest graphics drivers effect the performance of browsing and programmes etc?

I just formatted so there will be no point in reg clean and/or defrag it? (I guess the registry is clean, but could there be bits of shit left behind from the previous partition?)

Should be completely clean after a format and fresh reinstall, fragmentation is file system level and the format clears that entirely.

Has the performance loss only occurred after installing FSC manager? if so, it's likely there's not a great deal you can do, lose the buttons or lose the performance :/ The joys of their proprietary software :/

The drivers shouldn't have any impact on performance, if they do there's another issue there entirely and the only way that'll be fixed is by Lenovo themselves :|

Before the format the lappy was perfect, couldn't of asked for anything better. It's just after the format and the fresh install, just hangs from time to time so i doubt it's the launcher that caused it.

I'm sure i'll figure it out as i go along and install neccesary(sp) things.

Thanks again :)
