I assume that throwing up due to coughing isn't a good sign? Any ideas if i should just chug some cough medicine or get a dr's. appointment? (only problem with the dr's. important being i'm not registered at Uni - and won't be able to get home till after exam time any other ideas?)

Go and register at the uni doc's noob or go to the local "walk-in" centre, and yes coughing can agrevate the gag reflex, I have been sick whilst coughing..if its that bad you want it checked out though.

It's not proper sick just like water and shit - i have a feeling it could just been due to the convlusions of my body when i need to cough violently but i figured i'd ask here incase it was something serious!

Whilst i have to wait for all that stuff - what's good cough medicine? - beechams worked really well (but only has 8 doses in a bottle - and i've ran out of that stuff the other day )

Sometimes you just "gag" stuff up, it's nothing to be worried about, especially if it's mostly clear with tidbits in it.

I happens from time to time if you are coughing almost constantly, as the seely said it's just stomach acid and bile if yellowish in colour.
