Was the las night of my play this eveing and it fecking rocked. Absolutely brilliant. I am teh king of comedy.

I have been offered a part in the RSC's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in the summer. For those who may not know the RSC is the absolute fucking elite British theatre company. I will accept if I can get the substantial time off work, 6 months I understand :/. If I can't then I shal quit my job.

I can't tel you how it has been this week. We rocked. We fed off the audience. We rocked.

I apologise. Just come back from the after show party. We rocked.

UNINTERESTED PEEPS STOP READING HERE
For the benefit of Damini, I just finished playing Picasso in Steve Martin's play, Picasso at the Lapin Agile. An ensemble comedy which turned out to be very funny. It's set in Paris, 1904 in a bar, The Lapin Agile and focuses on a chance meeting between Picasso and Einstein, two very different characters who believe they're going to somehow change the century. That's the jist of it.

One of the cast members is an ex-pro who left the business simply because he was getting fed up with it. He had told his agent that he'd come back for the right part. Well, just before the run this cast member auditioned for the RSC's A Midsummer Night's Dream and landed the part of Bottom (a lead, I'm told though I know nothing about the play).

Sooooooo then... The RSC director (don't know his name, though he did tell me, in fact he might have been an assistant director, or casting director... or a producer as I suspect they have them over there) came to see his new Bottom in my play. He was quite excited afterwards and was raving about the whole thing and anyway... He told me there's a space in his play for me if I want it. I told him I would like that very much, thank you.

Bear in mind nothing has been signed and stuff and so it could fall through. Even if I do get in I'll prolly be holding a spear in the back somewhere, but I'd be getting paid for it by the RSC so I'll cope.

Have to see how it goes. I shall keep you posted. Heh
