That part only concerns humans, not plants or animals =) Let's see it in an RPG way, as we're the DAoC off-topic forum =) Dark-elves and High-elves look the same (except skin color, but there are black and white humans aswell), so someone looking like an Elf could be either of the two =) So if god looks a bit like a human, it doesn't mean he is one =)

Yes =) I consider myself a very religious person, but you see, I'm not trying to enforce my opinion to anyone. Ofc I could tell you "Yer sure, god is omnipotent, thus he can do everything", but religion consists of much more than this. Yer sure, you can argue for hours with some people, but then again you gotta admit that on the other hand, you're keeping your position aswell, it's not just them =)
I agree that there are very fanatic religious people, but I think everybody has some kind of opinion which they won't give up that fast =) That's like discussing about Porsche cars with me, you can't win the argument =)

Well I agree that the comparision between religion and cars has its flaws, but I hope you get my point =) In my opinion there is a "religious core" which I won't discuss, cause if I start discussing this, it won't be my religion anymore, but there are lots of points where people from the same religion have different opinions about. Let's take a very common subject, music. While I tell you that imho metal is the way to go, other people from my church will tell you that metal is the seed of evil =) If those people are fanatic enough, they won't let me explain my point of view, which will result in me ignoring their endless discussion. You can trust me though, that apart of some poking I'm quite easy about what kind of music people listen to =)

I think what you mean are those religious people (and it's my intention to stay neutral here, so I'm not naming any specific one) who take their belief to a real fanaticism. I say "real" fanaticism, cause they are hard on points which aren't that clear and left to mankind to decide. For those people, religion is a straight way through life with no choice, for me it's a guide through a winding path I call my personal life =)

Damn I can tell you it's hard to explain stuff like that in a language that is not your mother-tongue, so I hope I could explain myself well enough =)

i understand you perfectly well, religion is all about interpretation... and i think it was just some guy 2000 years ago, who was bored, and caved some text onto a stone, but im not going to force that upon you

but im sure you've encountered people who don't seem to listen to reason, you counter-argue there point and they just say the same thing over and over again, other wise yes...

im not quite clear on your rpg analogy, but lets drop that... however if its not human, what is it?
